Wiim doesn't detect my SMSL PO100 2024 (not Pro) when connected to USB

It powers the device on, but nothing showing in Audio Output. However, when I connect it to my Pc, the Po100 appears with no issues.

Trouble shooting I have done :

Power cycled Wiim Ultra Changed USB cables (4 cables used). Fully rebooted Wiim Reinstalled the app

I connected my Fiio M21 and again just charges the device. Unfortunately, my Wiim is not under warranty as it was bought used and Wiim customer support have been useless. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues? My RCA jacks on the line out are out of order too but that's another story.

I don't know if this will help, but this was taken from Amazon.

Yea, this is a different ticket. First one was more about the broken rca jacks on the line out

Yea, everything was working fine then pit of the blue the jacks broke and now the USB issue!

Do the USB interface work at all? Try to connect e.g. a HDD with music on and see if it works.

Just ordered another from AV.com with 5 year warranty. Going to sell this one for £150 as it still works apart from the line out RCA jacks

It's definitely the Wiim, unfortunately. I tried another DAC and various cables and still doesn't detect via USB

So your Flash Drive don't work either?

yep, its very odd indeed. The flash drive flashes, so its active, but Wiim isn't detecting it.

Just received the new Wiim ultra. SMSL is detected by the Wiim and therefore it works! Must have had a faulty motherboard on the old one

No idea how it broke! One minute minute it was working then the next, the right channel only outputted sound, then a few days later the left didn't. And a few hours later the USB wouldn't detect the external DAC.

I managed to sell the old one and listed the issues. Managed to get £175 for it and the buyer said he knew a guy that can fix it.

Planning to run ultra > usb out to p0100 > coax to luxman da06.

I would just use optical (SPDIF) directly. You won't get anything better than 24/192 from the WiiM anyway.

Not exactly.
I was thinking of 2 different solutions:
Running usb from ultra to the luxman.
Using the smsl po100 between the ultra and the luxman.
Different solutions.
I currently run coaxials, but people say it has more jitter.

That really depends compared to what. The jitter (timing offset) in the WiiM SPDIF is anyway so small that the resulting noise is way below the hearing threshold. No need to worry about that.
