WiiM Home App v3.1.7 Update – March 22, 2025

This started after the FW update a couple of days ago. Music Streaming in through ROON and Opt-in is working without out issue. I've got more testing to do. I run a PC into the TV and also a cable box and carry those signals out to the Ultra via eArc. This morning watching YouTube vids was painful. I haven't tried the Cable signal yet - yesterday watching hockey was fine..... I'll report back after I've had an hour with the TV using the box, then go back to PC input and cross compare

Just to be sure, I am asking, is the eARC on the TV turned on? (You will need to turn it off.)

Also, make sure your TV's digital audio output is set to PCM. (Ultra can receive Dolby, but PCM will have more stable audio.)

You mentioned that you have not changed any settings on your TV, but please check again.

Thanks for that. I've done as suggested. Cleaned all connections, inserted, reinserted all cables and the problem continues, even using the cable box, so, it's not the PC, THE DAC isn't showing any interruption to the signalwhe the sound stops and resumes. The only system change is the FW update. I don't know what else to check. Thanks for your responses and I'm open to whatever your creative and problem solving minds might suggest

Also, have you already submitted a ticket?

Submitting a ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM app will send a log of the device.

I haven't submitted a ticket, but now will. Yes, I've got the TV set to PCM - I've gone through all the settings and everything is still as it was when all was working fine just a couple of days ago and since first connecting the Ultra to the system. Strange.

I understand WiiM Home app update 3.1.7 includes support for Radio Paradise My Favorites. I’ not seeing that as an option in iOS. Is anyone else experiencing this?

What WiiM device do you have? Could be it doesn’t have the appropriate firmware. Also, to see that entry I think you need to have rated at least 100 tracks as 5 (think it used to be 7) or more.

Edit: I see it on my iPad app for my pro plus and ultra

WiiM mini. Have rated 100+ tracks. Not seeing on iPhone 16 or Windows 11 desktop app. All firmware is up to date

And once the WiiM Mini get's this update, you have to log into your Radio Paradise account first to take advantage of the new features. There will be a "person" icon in the top right corner when selecting the Radio Paradise music service in the WiiM Home app.

Right now, this does not work for me on my WiiM Amp Pro. My "Account Name" is shown as "anonymous" and I don't see any additional features. If I wouldn't spend so much time on the forum I might have found the time to send feedback to WiiM about it. :P

I just updated, and now I'm getting all kinds of audio stuttering from HDMI out of TV, no other changes made to my system except for the update. Chain =
LG TV HDMI > WiiM Ultra USB Out > D30 Pro DAC > B&O 9500

Anyone else hear audio stutter on HDMI
Hi Holsen,

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Please send us feedback through the WiiM Home app by going to the More tab and selecting Feedback. Our engineers will review it promptly. Once we receive your feedback, we’ll assist in rolling back your device to the previous firmware so you can check if the issue still persists.

Hi harkpabst,

We've identified the issue with the 'anonymous' account name, but we are unable to reproduce it on our end. Please provide feedback through the WiiM Home app to assist with debugging.

Thanks for reaching out. It's fixed. I rebooted the Ultra several times to no avail. I finally pulled the power and reconnected to the mains..... Voila everything is as it should be and was.

Good, but post #59 had suggested exactly that - power cycle. Power cycle means disconnecting power.

Feedback sent, ticket #529449.

Yes, thank you; and that's why I did it. As I sat scratching my head, I reconsidered Post #59 - reboot is not power cycle. Unfortunately, I can't blame the HDMI port on the tv anymore and I've lost my wife's consent now for anew one. Humor aside, I appreciate your input.

Please review the app update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us.

App Release Version
v3.1.7
[...]
USB/NAS Playback – Increased track limit to 2,000.
I can confirm playlists with 1,900 tracks loaded from .m3u files will be loaded entirely into the queue.
However, when loading the same playlist from preset then it will still only load the first 500 entries.

How to reproduce:
- Create a .m3u playlist with almost 2,000 songs and store it with your music collection on an USB drive
- Load the .m3u file through the WiiM Home App -> All songs will be added to the queue
- Create a preset for the playlist with shuffle turned on
- Start listening to another playlist or music service
- Start the .m3u via preset through the WiiM remote -> Only 500 songs will be loaded into the queue. The other 1,500 songs are never going to be played.

This makes presets useless for me as I only have them for selecting large playlists.

EDIT: Reported as #529465

Submit a ticket to WiiM to let them know this isn't working as you expected
