WiiM Home App v3.3.4 Update – Aug 29, 2025

Please review the app update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us.

App Release Version
v3.3.4

* The iOS app is now available. The Android app is currently under review on Google Play.

iOS Release Notes:

What's New:

  1. YouTube Music & KKBox Favorites: Added support for YouTube Music and KKBox Favorites in the Favorites tab.
Bug Fixes:
  1. Qobuz Fix: Fixed the login failure issue and resolved the problem where the selected song differed from the one actually played.
  2. Unexpected Volume Change: Fixed an issue where the device volume unexpectedly changed when returning to the foreground from the background.

Android Release Notes:

What's New:

  1. YouTube Music Favorites: Added support for YouTube Music Favorites in the Favorites tab.
Bug Fixes:
  1. Unexpected Volume Change: Fixed an issue where the device volume could suddenly become very loud when tapping the volume slider.

Let me recap: Leaving aside the lock screen Widget, here used to be three ways to adjust the volume:
  1. Tap and hold the slider button and drag it to the left or the right
  2. Use the phone's volume up and down buttons (as long as you are on any playback related page in the WiiM Home app)
  3. SIngle or multiple taps to either side of the slider button
The latter doesn't work anymore. :( Instead, you can now increase or decrease the volume if you tap, hold and drag anywhere on the slider, as shown by @Wiimer.

Result: I acknowledge the improvement fro those wiping and swiping on their phones. But I don't like it because the tapping method no longer works on my Android phone at all.

Maybe I will eventually get used to it.

Both the new slide adjustment and tap-based fine-tuning work perfectly on my Android tablet. Therefore, I believe this is an issue specific to the smartphone app.

On my end this only changes the volume of the ringtone on my iPhone. It only works for Bluetooth playback directly from my iPhone.

Edit: it works when disabling „changing ringtone volume through buttons“. But only in increments of 3. A setting for this like the increments for the volume knob or remote would be useful, because 1 would be sufficient for me.

With the WiiM app open, press the volume buttons to adjust the WiiM volume by 1%.

Tapping to either left or right of the slider preset slider spot on my Android phone works beautifully, lowering or increasing the volume by just one step. I was not aware of this feature but very happy now, version 3.3.4.

@WiiM Support, @WiiM Team,

Ticket #541112

Comparative tests on an Android phone with an older app (3.2.6) installed show that the behaviour of the slide bar has changed.

Previously, by tapping and slightly dragging on the slide bar, the volume could be adjusted directly.

In the current app this is no longer possible and the pointer now moves in tandem with whatever position you drag on the slide bar.

Perhaps this change is causing the problem. I hope that this will be addressed as soon as possible.

I submit a ticket.
Thank you so much.

Edit:
Again, it works perfectly fine on Android tablets 3.3.4. The only problem is with my Android phone.
The new method stops you accidentally setting the volume to maximum with a single touch of the slider so it isn't all bad.

Yes, I don't think bad the new feature. As I have said many times, my (and some other members) phones no longer allow adjustment by tapping. Dragging to adjust by 1% is extremely difficult for me..

Such a setting is probably not possible. There are too many variables, too many other components fighting about control of this behaviour.

I can on mine so it isn't a universal issue.
I currently have three different (working) Android phones in my house, one running Android 16 and two running Android 15. With the WiiM Home app 3.3.4 tapping left or right to control the volume doesn't work on any of them.

It did up to version 3.3.3.

I even tried turning on notifications to see if that affected it. Mine is Android 12. I will try the other Android phone in the house if I get a chance.

I just tried a Pixel 6a with Android 16 and tapping on the volume slider works with that.
