WiiM Home App v3.5.2 Update – Mar 13, 2026

Please review the app update release notes below. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to us.

App Version:
3.5.2

Beta Features

1. Simultaneous Output (Beta): Supports Optical/Coaxial with Line Out for simultaneous playback. Enable it on the Audio Output page.
2. Stereo Pair (Beta): Simplifies stereo pair setup. Note: The current beta firmware has a known issue where the volume may not stay synchronized when devices are grouped as a stereo pair.

Device Settings

1. Device Screen: Adds per-input screen on/off settings (requires the upcoming firmware update).
2. Automatic Updates: Adds an option to delay automatic firmware updates (requires the upcoming firmware update).

NAS & Streaming

1. NAS Browsing: Optimizes NAS browsing cache to reduce outdated data.
2. Open Network Stream (iOS): Improves handling of spaces in imported Custom Radio file names.

Setup

1. OOBE: Improves OOBE guidance to help troubleshoot setup issues.
2. Permissions: Improves permission explanation pages.

is there any way to AVOID update?

I'm still recovering from errors of 'not showing song inside folder' for last 3 months. now looks back to normal and I don't wanna gamble anymore with updates

Shouldn't be an issue with the CPU or memory, the DAC handles all the processing of the digital stream to the Aux output. I'm going to assume it simply needs a firmware update...

Have a look at what can be done on a VERY constrained Pi Pico, including 8 channels of DSP.
I tend to view it more as a potential issue over being able to accommodate the additional firmware code changes - there's only so much they can squeeze into its limited memory.

iOS 3.5.2.x loaded. For my typical functionality controlling several devices it works fine.

Very useful! Many thanks @WiiM Team ! If this was possible to have a similar feature on WiiM Amp Ultra (here: speakers out + usb out) it would also be very nice?
I would like that for a DAC/HPA loafing around. The one thing I miss from the Amp Ultra is the headphone socket. So, if there would be a chance with a preset or from the app to choose between speaker out and USB out would be great!

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for (probably not), but on my unit I defined two presets - one for playing via speakers and the other for playing via usb (in Audio Output section), with all other parameters being "current" (except for EQ that I tweaked for each output). Unfortunately you still cannot assign the RoomFit profile to the presets so this is a big limiting factor for swiftly switching outputs. I asked for it last summer, @WiiM Team responded that they will add this (quite simple?) fix in the upcoming firmwares, but apparently focused on other priorities. But still hope it will come one day:).

Thank you for the suggestion! I was silly enough NOT to look in the settings for audio out, there is all I need. I thought an amp's out is always speaker.

The Ultras (both) ought to auto switch to usb output when the usb dac is turned on.
Except for the first time when you have to manually switch.
And then back to the previous output when dac turned off.

Thank you, I have tested this already and it works as it should. I see you have a similar use case, my DAC is also a FiiO K13R2R and some headphones.

First, thank you for the excellent new feature additions.😄

I've tested simultaneous output briefly, and it's functioning correctly so far. Below are the current issues and suggestions for future improvements.

- If setting the crossover for the subwoofer in Ultra, prevents the Line-out from playing full-range audio.
When my 'line out' is connected to a stereo power amp next to my subwoofer, this is what I want. How it usually is, I suspect?
- Similarly, the EQ settings applied in Ultra are also applied to the Line-out.
It seems that the Ultra's 'line out' should be considered 'local' - at least by default. Hence subwoofer crossover & time alignment & EQ with mains should affect the line out.

- Audio is out of sync.
I connected the Mini and A10 to the Line-out. Due to DSP latency, the sound from these speakers is slightly delayed. (Audio synchronization did not work with the Mini.)
This has led me to wonder if my current two-node Speaker Group (between an Ultra and a WiiM Pro) in a Loft Apartment might better be served with a long coax or optical link to the Pro in the loft - or perhaps straight to the Fosi ZD3 DAC the Pro is currently feeding via coax. That way I could sit in the loft above my shelf-mounted subwoofer on the ground floor and run a RoomFit with the upstairs main speakers (that must be in sync with the downstairs mains). Of course in this case I want the Ultra's brain managing the digital out DSP functions too.

So, a clear option to control the simultaneous output(s) as A.) Same as 'Line Out'; B.) Specified Channel/RoomFit/PEQ profile(s); C.) Full Range source.

- A feature to mute only the digital output might be useful. This would enable switching between A/B/A+B speakers.
(y)

Good stuff here. I think I have a super-thin and lengthy optical cable lying around that will soon be put to this test :-).

Yes,
I’m not sure if this is technically possible, but if it were, I think it would open up even more possibilities.

Just to clarify, (as I mentioned earlier) the current Line-out works correctly. I suspect that if the device connected to the Line-out has no audio latency, the digital output and Line-out will be in sync. (I haven’t tested this yet, though.)

My suggestion is intended solely to solve a personal issue, but full-range output would also be necessary, e.g., if you were to use the Line-out as a tape output. (This would save you the trouble of manually turning off the sub-out and EQ.)

If I use the Line-out as a stereo Sub-out, it would be fine as long as it can output the same low-pass signal as the current Sub-out.

I recalled this option on the current subwoofer output screen (temporarily turned on to highlight it):

Of course, you can enable full-range output by turning on "Main Speakers Output Bass," but since this setting applies to both the digital output and the line output, I need a way to enable full-range output for the line output alone. 🙂
