When playing a flac file from the WiiM app, the app shows 16bits/44.1kHz which is expected. When playing the same file from BubbleUPnP, the WiiM app shows 24bits/44.1Khz (the BubbleUPnP shows 16bits/44.1kHz).
Maybe when streaming from BubbleUPNP (or any other DLNA controller) the WiimHome app shows the bit depths of the output and not that of the source.
Is your dac capable of showing the bit depths? If so what's shown when you play a 16 bit flac file? 16 or 24?
My WiiM devices are configured to output a bit depths of 24 and my dac always shows 24 bit regardless of the bit depth of the source flac file.
Just tried this with a 16/44.1 flac frrom my nas, and with a tidal track.
Both bubble and wiim app agree on the resolution; 16 bits.
Wiim set for 24/192 max.

I have a similar setup but my WiiM is connected to a Sony STR-DN1080 with a max resolution of 24/192. Unfortunately, the Sony don't show the bit depth when playing a track (but I know it support it) so I guess the WiimHome app shows the bit depths of the output. Would be nice if someone from Linkplay would reply here...
@Mrz7kN reported a similar behaviour using Tidal. He stated that a reboot fixed the inconsistency.
I tested both Pro and Mini and can confirm the post from @Mr Ee.
