Wiim Pro Plus/Airplay change in 2026?

Hi, All -
After years of trouble free Airplay with my WPP, issues suddenly arose last week, interestingly -before- the firmware updated to 805453. An airplay stream from a HomePod mini to the Wiim Pro Plus just...stopped. And froze everything. Rebooted router, Wiim, homepod, iOS, everything. Still just dropped all sound after a few minutes. Was hoping the firmware update would fix the issue, but audio is still dropping out after a few minutes, and refusing to restart without a reboot.

Airplay from an iOS device directly seems to work, but not from the HomePod mini. Anymore.

(Edit: 5 Ghz only was already on, and WiFi roaming was already off).

Any thoughts on how to further troubleshoot? Thanks.

A few thoughts:

1. Did the HomePod mini get a firmware update shortly before the problem started?
2. Did the Router get a firmware update shortly before the problem started?
3. Did the HomePod, Router or WPP get moved physically or anything added in house that might affect the signal strength of the communicating devices?

Ah. 1 is indeed the case, which must have snuck in somewhere from a December release, and others have reported audio dropping out over airplay after 2 songs. Sigh. Thanks for the troubleshooting assistance.
