Just got the update on my ultra and screens are the same
Don’t know why I had the new ones before the firmware update

What's New:
  1. Playback Screen Options: Added 3 new styles with large title display (requires upcoming app update).
Why is it not possible to scroll directly on the Ultra screen between the new styles (and VU meter) as you could before. I can only scroll between the first large cover style and then the one configured in the WHA or some other combinations.

I would have expected that all styles could be selected directly on the Ultra screen.

Fixed alias name display on VU Meter.
Do anyone know what this alias fix is?

I don't see any alias names or any indicators for what the meter is showing (input or output). Only the track information.

If the input volume level is shown the input name should be indicated. If it's the output volume, the output name should be listed instead.

The meter values are (of course) also still wrong but that is another annoying issue.

I can’t believe the attention the VU meters get. It’s never, ever going to look anything but tacky.

One man’s opinion, but WiiM’s valuable resources should be directed elsewhere.
Either you have something that is actually working or you remove it.

Making the VU meters work correctly is very easy, if you want to. No major resources is needed.

And yet, how many months of revisions have we seen?

I think having a single LCD meter as a retro analog aesthetic on an otherwise sleek, modern, obviously very digital device is always going to look phony, but more to the point, clearly the screen pixel density and refresh rate is totally inadequate for making it acceptable even to those who want it.

Wiim ultra is a streamer to listen to music not to stare at VU meter. Just one simple that works and there’s no point of adding several to choose from. Majority of ultra user cares more on features that improved music quality including more advanced rc. If user care so much of VU meter there some that can be purchase and placed it on top of ultra while listening.

As said. Remove them if they don't work or fix them.

I don't use things like WiiM RC, surround or USB but I don't comment all time about not wanting resources used on sorting albums or something.
