Yup saw it. Still no audio input management and probably many more missing things. Not so long ago the updates for the Amp and Ultra seemed to be in sync, not any more and it 's hard to keep track of missing features.
It’s always the flagship product gets update first. If someday that there’s new version of ultra, that would be given the most priority.

Personal opinion, I think the Ultra is ‘better’.

It has a slightly greater number of ins and outs, and the flexibility of being able to source your own amp. The Vibelink is pretty powerful, but if you don’t need all that power, you’re spending a fair bit of money on something you’ll never use.

The convenience of an all-in-one is undeniable, but good separates usually have the edge.

Isn’t amp ultra is just ultra with built in amp?

No. The Ultra has a slightly greater number of ins and outs and the flexibility of being able to source your own amp. ;)

If you need e.g. 450 W per channel monoblock power amplifiers, you can combine them with the WiiM Ultra.

@WiiM Team when are you planning to add the independent peq/RC to the official firmware? Its a very useful tool for my setup but my FOMO is over the roof 😝
Hi Joseespona, Team

The independent PEQ/RC is in the last stage of our internal testing. We plan to release it in the next firmware release (within two weeks). Please stay tuned. Thank you for your continued patience and support!

Amp Ultra lacks phono input and headphone output compared to (ampless) Ultra.

Also, the Ultra has more outputs.

Both models have a sub out. The Ultra has analogue/RCA outs, whilst the Amp Ultra has speaker level outs.

But then in addition to this the Ultra has both optical and coax digital outs, which have no equivalent on the Amp Ultra.

The Ultra just has that bit more flexibility.

The digital outputs make sense for sure on (ampless) Ultra since some people need an external DAC to provide balanced/XLR outputs if their power amps only have balanced inputs (they exist, for example like my Topping B200 monoblocs, or people running stereo amps in bridged mono mode with differential input like Schiit Vidars). That particular reason would not be a thing for Amp Ultra users given it has integrated power amp.
