And as it's digital, will it handle EQ, etc.? Have a sub out?

If it can, you could effectively add it to a Mini and turn that pairing into a powered Ultra (sans screen).

Another link here, with more pics...

Though sadly none round the back.

Yes, I measured it myself. Looks like I didn't save the DA RS100-4 measurement, but there hasn't been any surprise. It's a single driver with a passive notch filter. My own measurement of the Clarity 6.2 pretty much exactly equals the measurement performed by Erin:

This speaker surely benefits from a rather beefy amp, but the impedance is critical only in the highest octave. The 3e Audio A5 does remarkably well in this regard. It's pretty much indistinguishable from the power amp section in my Lyngdorf TDAI. I did not take the time to measure the actual output voltage so far. Given the extremely low output impedance I don't expect anything spooky here.

The tweeter used in the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 is not available to the DIY market. It's an AMT produced by Dali, using a waveguide designed by Purifi. While Radiant Acoustics and Dali (making the tweeter) and Purifi (also making the woofers and passive radiators) and Nordic Hi-Fi (actually assembling the speakers) are all Peter Lyngdorf companies, they are still very much separated.
ps
tpa3251 more interesting objectively...and subjectively..of 3255??? ;-)

(you ask me what the over-emphasis on the 3255 risked hiding)
;-)

For me it is, yes. And 3e Audio seem to think alike, otherwise they had not even bothered to make the A5se and - in particular - the A5.

Honestly, I don't understand what you tell me I've been asking. :) I had explicitly stated that I see nothing wrong with using the TPA325x chips, not just using the TPA3255. The fact that many (but not all) offers prefer the TPA3255 (more power output at virtually the same price) over the TPA3251 (technically better, even if just a tad) is not exactly a secret, is it?

There are other amplifier chips out there like those from Infineon, but I don't see a convincing reason why WiiM or anybody else should further dig into their niche.

Then we have the B100 and B200 with their ultra high feedback class B approach. But this is not a solution readily available to the competition and while measurements are very good they still have to proof their reliability over time.

sorry
Just me pointing out that the excessive use of the 55 with the marketing and mass effect risks obscuring other interesting or even more interesting solutions in the same range...
just my clumsy way of pointing it out
;-)

Hi,
there was an interesting article about Wiim Vibelink official release and the components inside it but it was removed (probably Wiim asked to remove it for now, too soon...).Wiim Officially released
TPA3255 + same ESS DAC Chip as the Win Amp Pro / Ultra.
There was also a interview of Wiim CEO, and explanation about Thermal improvements.
Hope it will come back again.

with the nature of the processing of the ana input (?) (see also possible ground loop problem to be resolved quickly, see review on asr (maybe just due to a clumsiness in the management of the abandonment of class2 of amp pro ?)) ... ,
the thermal aspect is all the more "the subject" with the increase in power in relation to the pro amp
;-)

I see that Audio Affair are now offering the Vibelink for sale.

It " smells" like the digitalization of the ana input like on the rest of the Wiim range, and therefore the amp pro too
wait an see..

No it doesn't 🤔
The volume control doesn't appear to be a rotary encoder. It looks like a normal volume control. Without digital volume there is no need to digitise the analog input.

until proven otherwise seems to be the case for me.... observe also the nature of the measurements compared to the amp and amp pro etc.

Assuming amazon listing isn't wrong...
  • Pure Analog Input (no ADC conversion) - For analog purists, the direct analog input bypasses Analog-to-Digital Conversion (ADC), preserving the purest, most natural sound.
Wiim page basically says the same too.

See the WiiM website links I posted where this is also stated.
