Hello!

When doing room fit (with microphone on Pixel 8 PRO) it always shows a very strange curve when checking the results. What's most prominent is the lack of base according to the curve, but it's not The case when actually listening. I've tried with an IPhone as well, but it's The same thing.

Any thoughts what's the deal?
Thanks!
(I'm having The wiim amp pro connected to a b&w sub and dali menuet SE. Cross freqency set at 80Hz)

The high frequency peak is caused by the built-in mic's characteristic.

The broad dip around 80 Hz is probably real, but could be caused by various reasons. Just for testing you could try crossover frequencies of e.g. 150 Hz and 50 Hz and perform the same measurements again.

One (or more) of these three reasons are most likely what's causing the 50-100Hz dip in your response:
  1. The subwoofer is out of phase with your speakers.
    • To test try to flip the phase switch to 180° in the WiiM Home App Subwoofer menu, and and re-run RoomFit Evaluation.
  2. Your listening position distance from the nearest wall is causing the interference.
    • To test try to re-run RoomFit Evaluation from a few alternative positions (e.g. 50cm to each side and in front of current listening position) and see if the response changes.
  3. The physical distances of your subwoofer and speakers from walls/ceiling/floor is suboptimal.
    • My placement recommendations for a 2.1 system with 80Hz crossover are either:
      • A) Put speakers >1.1m from the wall behind them (and side walls), and put the subwoofer in a room corner; or if that is not feasible then
      • B) Put speakers right against the wall behind them (just keep ~5cm clearance for the bass-reflex port), and put the subwoofer in a room corner
    • After placement is adjusted re-run RoomFit. Explanation of these placement recommendations can be found in this post.
Hope this helps and good luck!

(Mam wzmacniacz Wiim Amp Pro podłączony do subwoofera B&W i Dali Menuet SE. Częstotliwość konfiguracji jest na 80 Hz)
For me it looks like this, UMIK-1 microphone. WiiM Amp Ultra + KEF Q750.
