Hello. I've had a Wiim Ultra for two weeks. The automatic brightness hasn't been working for a week now. I can adjust it manually, but if I go back to automatic, it stays at the maximum setting. I've already tried the factory reset. Does anyone have any ideas before I return the device to Amazon?

Ensure that adaptive brightness is switched on in the screen settings.

Also check that the illuminance sensor is clean. There is a small round sensor at the top right of the volume knob. (Block the sensor with your finger and check if the screen darkens.)

Warning/Caution! Fingerprints may be left behind!
Use a lint-free cloth instead!

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, none of this helps. The brightness remains the same. I'm sending the device back tomorrow. It's a shame. I was actually happy with the device, but if it breaks after such a short time, I'm pretty much out of it. A device like this has to work!

Have you tried power cycling the device?

If that doesn’t work, you should raise a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app - it could be a firmware issue. If it’s a hardware issue they will facilitate a replacement.

Thanks for your help. I bought the device from Amazon, so exchanging it should be straightforward. That's why I'm doing it this way. Anything else isn't worth it and ultimately won't achieve anything. But thanks anyway!
