Wiim Sound with display and remote is around the corner and ready to be launched. Looking forward to the first reviews.

I'm wondering when will you launch the Wiim Sound Lite with the same internals but without the display and the remote? This cheaper version is the one many of us are waiting for to give us 4.1/5.1 Dolby surround support.

Given the WiiM Sound hasn’t hit the streets yet, I wouldn’t expect to see Wiim launch another product this year imho…

What would be nice, given that it hasn’t been updated since last year, would be a new WiiM roadmap perhaps hinting at hardware as well as firmware innovations we might expect in the coming year?

Well @RyanWithWiiM, I certainly didn't dream it up. It was told by representatives from Wiim attending the UK HiFi Show at the end of September this year.

My original response was a bit tongue and cheek, it's not a product that we (WiiM) have officially announced, so there's really nothing I can share about it right now. Any news out there is from partners or distributors that have shared things they shouldn't have before they should have.

So my official statement is that I'm glad you're excited for a WiiM Sound without a screen and I'll make sure the team knows you're eager for confirmation and more information about on if or when it'll come.

When an official announcement is made, we'll be posting it on the forums, blog, reddit, and just about everywhere else we're active.
