I'm hoping the screen-less 'lite' version appears before Christmas, but it's getting pretty close.

Any ideas @RyanWithWiiM ?
I’d say extremely unlikely. The WiiM Sound isn’t yet on sale in the USA and the rest of the world is normally at least a month behind them. I wouldn’t expect the Lite (whose existence hasn’t formally been announced by WiiM - see https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/everything-about-wiim-sound-lite.8310/post-154603 ) to follow that quickly on the heels of the Sound, so sometime in the first quarter of 2026 would be my guess - if such a device is indeed coming.

Quite sure this is discussed before. The idea of looking on a stereo pair of two Sounds with each a display is at least a bit disturbing for me. Not to say ridiculous. The reason wanting a Sound without pictures is not price related. If the sonic performance is at least as good as my aged Sonos speakers, such devices will get for sure a go from me. Refused to go Revox or Denon until today. Subjective and egocentric, of course. But I do not feel alone here.
Will get a pair as soon as they are available. If there is a feature of totally and permanently switching off the screen in daily usage it should be fine nevertheless.

Don’t know. I’m sure you’d get requests for the displays to show a pair of animated blinking eyes with the irises changing colours like a spectrum display in time with the music 😂😂

A time ago I posted that I am waiting for the first request of a left and right meter on two speakers. "That is what we metrists need!" 😉
Well, at least my suggestion would firmly fit into the “eye candy” category 😜🤣

Yes, I would like to see that being added as a feature.🤔

Or have it react like an old-school Luminglass plasma disc. ;)

It's especially noticeable in the second one. These originally came in blue, green and orange colours.

I'm planning on picking up one for my kitchen to try it out, and if I'm happy with the sound potentially getting 4-5 more. For satellite rooms like the kitchen where it's a standalone and I'm moving around a lot, I like the idea of the display. But for 2 of the units where it would be a secondary listening room, I just don't want the visual clutter, purchase cost and potentially energy consumption of something that in that use case is somewhere between neutral or a net negative. And for master bedroom where I'm listening in the dark before sleep, a display is a definite no go. Probably hold off on those two and see where the roadmap goes.

Have any of you guys ever considered that switching the screen off will be an option in the settings as it is with the Ultras?
Yes, at least I had. And ordered two already. But as soon as a non-screen Sound is on the market, if ever, they will be replaced. If, and only if they are at least as good as my Sonos stuff. Question answered, Rashid?

If there‘s a white one among them them, let me know. I‘ll take it (at a discount😇).
I have a black one on order, but will need another one eventually.

I have not read the whole thread, so oops if this question has been answered.
I already own a Wiim Amp Ultra, that powers (with speaker cables) two main front speakers. Would it be possible to add a single Wiim sound behind my seating position, and use it as a surround speaker using the Wiim amp Ultra's bluetooth?
