after updating the iOS App I don't get the widget ? I´m on iOS 18.5 beta

It’s not a widget you can add to homepage as such just a now playing one on Lock Screen only

What an odd policy to update only one OS. Now the experiences will not be in sync and (bug) reports cannot be confirmed on Android.

That's how software development works hey.

It's the same with big apps like Instagram on iOS vs Android, where features will not always be the same.

I would expect at least Android to include a widget for the home screen (or a controller on the notification panel). It makes little sense (to me) to have the controller appear only on the lock screen.

Normally, in Android, the notification panel controller and lock screen controller are one set.

Hi Team,

The reason we provide the “Now Playing” view on the iOS Control Center lock screen instead of using a standard music widget is because the widget doesn't support real-time updates—such as play/pause status or the playback progress bar.

In contrast, the lock screen view offers real-time playback information and full control, delivering a better user experience.
