Qobuz Qobuz Connect released

If you have a desktop/laptopo machine (Mac or Windows), and are running the Qobuz desktop app on that machine, is it recognized on your iPhone as a renderer/endpoint for streaming? And vice versa? Would be good to isolate the issue to an app or to your WiiM.
I do have Qobuz app on my desktop PC, and I can see it on my iphone app as an option to connect to. When I connect from my desktop to my Wiim PP, I get the same error message on my desktop app. Which by my process of elimination points to the Wiim PP being the problem, not the iphone app...

If you're willing to re-enter some settings, you could try factory resetting the PP to see if that resolves the issue. I'm assuming all your devices are on the same subnet and VLAN. If you haven't already done so, I'd also recommend assigning static IP addresses to all devices that are part of the Qobuz Connect ecosystem (and make sure any iOS devices have private WiFi addresses disabled).

If that doesn't work, by all means submit a ticket via WHA, since it's pretty clearly an issue with your WiiM device.

I'll try a factory re-set first, then do some learning on how to assign static IP addresses if I need to. I had previously checked the IOS private WiFi, which was (and still is) disabled.
Thanks for your assistance!

Listened to Qobuz Connect with my WiiM Ultra yesterday and it works and sounds great. I found that when using Qobuz Connect with my Ultra that the track playing was displayed on the lock screen on my iPhone 13. The surprising part was when I switched to playing files from a USB hard drive attached to the Ultra the track playing was also displayed on the locked iPhone screen. That was a nice surprise!

I didn't get a chance to read through the recent posts in this thread. But are others seeing the track playing on the screens of their locked iPhones when using Qobuz Connect? Are tracks being played by an attached USB hard drive also showing?

Are you sure using Qobuz Connect not Chromecast or Aiplay? Because there is no miniplayer with Qobuz Connect on iOS devices.

As @alpha_zulu commented, you were not playing Qobuz Connect. Qobuz Connect does not have (at the moment) a locked screen control.

AirPlay through the Ultra?!?
More confusion. When I clicked on the AirPlay icon this popped up. So it’s my iPhone not AirPlay. My question now is I’m not using ChromeCast so why am I seeing the track playing with Qobuz (not Connect) and files from the attached USB hard drive?IMG_3383.png

It’s just a feature of a recent firmware release. Most sources (not yet QC) show a locked screen widget. It may be convenient to use when the phone s locked for a quick adjustment.

Indeed you were not using AirPlay, just your iOS device. IOS has a generic ‘AirPlay’ frame for all outputs and they label it AirPlay. 🥸

This is what I’m seeing on the Lock Screen. The AirPlay logo threw me off. I’m getting 192/24 on this Neil Young album. If it was ChromeCast would it be capable of 192/24?

Thanks for your help! As is obvious I’m not the most tech capable individual here on the WiiM forum:unsure:.

Hello fellow Wiim'ers. I'm struggling to get the "connect" aspect working from the Qobuz app on my iPhone (and iPad) to my Wiim Pro Plus. I believe I have everything updated to their latest releases, but am prepared to accept that my limited knowledge is a contributing factor to my issues here!
When I select Qobuz Connect as the output on the Qobuz app and press play, I get the following message at the beginning of each tracks' playback "Impossible to play the track '(track title)' because an error occurred". The app then jumps to the next track on the album and I get the error message repeated again, and again, and again, over each track.
At best I've had about 5seconds of playback and then it displays the error message. So there's some connectivity happening! But typically there's no sound coming through, just the error message and jump to next track. For reference my Wiim is connected via ethernet cable.
Anybody else experiencing this issue? Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated!!
same issue here: from Mac OS or iOS , private addresses disabled, all on high speed WIFI6 + gigafiber, everything works fine, including Qobuz in WiiM home app but not Q Connect from any device: sees Wiim as Q Connect, connects , plays a few secs without sound , choose next track and message 'because error occurred' - unplugged PRO PLUS, reset factory settings , out of ideas - who can help?????

Which version of Qobuz Connect are you using? (Click on the Settings cog and then select Help/Contact. Mine shows 9.0.0.2 but I have an Android phone.)

I'm so glad I'm not alone! I have no answers for you but have filed a support ticket with Wiim Support about an hour ago. I'll post back here if I find a solution.

Hi all,

Recent feedback regarding Qobuz Connect has led to the identification of three main issues, as outlined below:

Issue 1: Device Not Found via Qobuz Connect
Issue 2: Playback Failures via Qobuz Connect
Solutions for Issue 1 and 2:
We have found that special characters, such as ".&", or localized characters in your device name may cause these issues. To resolve them, please rename your device to remove any special or localized characters.

Issue 3: Gapless Playback Issue via Qobuz Connect

Unfortunately that made no difference to my playback problems. Name changed from the "suggested" name to something far simpler, and rebooted. My issues persist...

@WiiM Team: Have you looked into tracks suddenly stop playing and skipping to the following track? I have experienced this multiple times - iOS app and Ultra.
