Wiim amp pro and dayton usb mic

I seem to get different results most of the time i run room fit also depending on lower limit i choose for bass adjustmenets

Is that normal ?

what limit in the bass should have use when my sub is rated at 35 hz

20-30/35hz should be to much peaks, and or null or any problems since most music don't have that deep bass and my sub wont play it loud enough to be a problem

Have you checked your subwoofer's frequency response using RoomFit's evaluation function? I think you should set the lower limit to the frequency at which the bass rolls off.

Turn off the EQ and open a previously saved RoomFit profile.

After switching off all 10 bands, running the evaluation will allow you to see the subwoofer's response before correction.

E.g., in my room, the sub rolls off from 25Hz, so I set the lower limit to 25Hz.

(This is the result of evaluating the sub alone after disconnecting the speaker cables.)

Your sub response is surprisingly flat with no sign of any room resonance. What was the crossover setting for that measurement?

This is the stereo measurement result for two subwoofers.
I guess the crossover was 125Hz, but as it's old data, I don't recall clearly.
(It may have been measured at 250Hz.)

I don't kno why it's like that in the bass with the target cuve i use i set it down to 35hz, it just don't do much under 50hz.

What should i set it to to do adjustments under 50hz ?

What is your sub volume set to? It doesn't appear to be doing much. What is the crossover setting in the WiiM app? How does the response look without the sub?

50% on the sub 60hz down to 30hz in the settings

It's like it's atm only does down to around 50hz, it is set to 30hz

This feature has been added to the current RoomFit.

4. RoomFit: Automatically adjusts measurement range based on recording quality.

This means that in such cases, RoomFit don't boost bass that roll off sharply.

1. When the microphone can't pick up bass (e.g., phone's internal microphone).
2. When the bass are actually rolling off sharply.

I am unsure which situation applies to you, but please try increasing the subwoofer volume further and then measure again.

what should i set hz to if it only does 50hz then 20 to 45ish don't matter ? Can't it do (mabye in a later update) auto crossover for the sub, what ever setting it thinks match between the sub and front speaker at what they can do in the bass area ?

Update 80hz crossover and 30hz it's still down by 10 db at 40hz and 20 db at 30hz (like it's a little to much) bass atm is still 50% im trying higher settings later

By the way my front speakers are measured to have -6db at 56hz (it can still play bass if i play a bass heavy song)

It helped raising the volume on the sub, so fare i raised it 2 steps on my sub

35hz limit 60hz x over - 4-5 db at 40hz is okay -10 db 35hz

How does the sound?

I think it would be better to compare it with the settings where the correction range is set to 35Hz–300Hz and the non-boost mode is turned on off.

Better but a couple of valleys around 125hz and 500hz 45hz is -5/6 db and 35-36hz -10db

I want to use it all the way up to the highs

It's not so loud so i want to use it might go +5% on the volume limit (90 instead of 85%)

Stille 60hz x over think 80hz makes the bass to noticeable from the sub, 60hz will let the deep midrange be played but the same unit
Amazing how many adjustments a wiim amp pro has for the money (nest update i would like it if could do aut crossover when doing room correction)

I guess the 500Hz dip can't be corrected with EQ. The 120Hz dip might be resolved by moving the speaker closer to the rear wall; please refer to this post by @dominikz.

I will try again to adjust it, at 85% with non boost mode on my sub follows my front speakers all the way up to 100% with no distortion

So there is more to give before my sub don't have more power, mabye going for 40hz -5/6 db

If you increase the sub volume further, will it boost the 35Hz response?

But to be honest, I think it's splendid just as it is. And if it sounds good to you, all the better.🙂

You can probably increase the sub volume by a few dBs to improve the bass response.. Which sub do you have?
