Plus a pdf of more measurements and graphs than you could throw an ASR member at ;) in this post

Pricing is likely to be affected by competition - availability timing and price. Eversolo Play will be available next month at $699 with phono preamp (MM/MC).
No only this but also coax in and out and bigger screen...also nice real time vumetters. there is also a version with a cd player/ripper

Man, people really complain about everything. WiiM is making high-end hi-fi accessible. That should be applauded. I think it's a great addition to the lineup and will definitely consider it in the future when I want to upgrade from my OG WiiM Amp. If you don't like the product, don't buy it. "but I can't use it in the bathtub it should be water-proof" jeez

The telescoping of the outputs with the Eversolo risks making buyers of this type of mini hifi system seriously think...and I fear that Wiim must seriously think about their price position....:unsure:

Effectively the same, then. Same SNR, and THD+N of -105db (WiiM Amp Ultra) vs -106db (VibeLink).

So, if the Ultra is £350, and the Vibelink is £320, that's a total of £670.

How much can they save (if anything) by having it all on one box, with only one DAC chip?

I’m really looking forward to this release just as it is. My Amp Pro is adequate, but that extra bit of power is what I’ve really been hoping for. I don’t care about a bigger display; in fact I could do without it altogether. The way I use mine, the only time I physically touch it is when I first power it up to set it up. Everything else from there is all done through the app or whatever I’m BT-ing into it. Where it sits is very inconvenient to do anything manually, so the touch screen is pretty much useless to me.

The Eversolo Play (without CD) is €699 which is c.£590.

The THD and SNR specs as quoted by Eversolo are pretty much identical to the Vibelink, by the latter has 100W into 8 ohms vs the Play's 60W.

As long as the Ultra Amp comes in at £600, it'll be the same money but better.

If it comes in at £550 or less it'll be cheaper and better.

If it comes in at much over £600 you still have the option of buying the Ultra and a separate amp.

It remains to be seen if the Play has PEQ, if so how many bands, and what controls there are for the sub.

Eversolo streamers have room correction. I imagine they have PEQ.

One of the things that separates them from FiiO or Shanling.

commercial releases at the same time
bad auto traduction of french expression ( telescopage des sorties)
We can see that things are not so rational...and that we will have to look at...the size and quality of the screen...and its VU meters/FFT:cool:
and the brand image conveyed by the two brands

This is an area that interests me: that some words don't translate well.

You may know this, is there a French word for 'sh*tposting'?

In English it means "...the act of using an online forum or social media page to post content that is of "aggressively, ironically, and trollishly poor quality". Shitposts are generally intentionally designed to derail discussions or cause the biggest reaction with the least effort. It may even sometimes be orchestrated as part of a co-ordinated flame war to render a website unusable by its regular visitors."

Is there a French word for that?
