hi, this is what the problem looks like:
1. Current playback on the lock screen and in the toolbar is displayed only from the Music Services folder (photo 1,2)
2. Content from the USB folder is not displayed on the lock screen and in the toolbar
3. If you are listening to content from the Music Services folder, and then switch to playback from USB, all screens will display the content of the last file from the Music Services folder and you can't remove it until you start playback from the Music Services folder again (photo 3)

Hi, my iphone battery usage increased I think. What about back ground battery usage of wiim app. ?
Shouldn't your iPhone display this in the battery settings? At least relative numbers?

It says wiin uses. I think airplay start to open. Is it normal?
Not sure I understand fully, but Airplay certainly is a power hog. It's very different from the likes of Googlecase, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect of the upcoming Qobuz Connect, unfortunately.

Hi Eni,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Regarding Issue 2, we will release a new app version today, and it should be available for you to update within a few days.

For Issues 1 and 3, our team is investigating the root cause and will work to resolve them promptly.

Hi mdard,

Yes, to update the playback status, the app needs to run certain tasks in the background, which may increase battery usage. Our team is currently comparing the power consumption between using and not using lock screen playback controls. We aim to minimize battery usage when lock screen playback control is enabled. Additionally, we will provide an option to disable lock screen playback control if desired.

Delighted to discover lock screen widget while listening to android tune in podcast today! Thank you team WiiM. 👏👏👏

Also appreciate podcast search and enhancements. Not complaining mind you, but I'm finding it typically takes multiple queries +more before locating a particular podcast. Guessing that's a tune in DB query performance issue?

Keep up the great work!

On my android tablet lock screen the WiiM widget appeared when the screen is locked.
I don't use this feature and the widget bothers me. Does anyone know how to disable it?

You can turn it off in the notification settings for the WiiM Home app

"Playing Notification name"
(sounds a bit quirky 😀)

I was rather hoping the lock screen controls would appear in music streamed from LMS to my WiiM Mini but alas no. Interestingly, if the same file is played through the WiiM App ‘Home Music Share’ via the LMS UPnP/DLNA Media Interface plugin then it does appear.

The thing is, I have notifications disabled, but that annoying Widget is still there. I would like to remove it once and for all

Does turning off "all notifications" in the WiiM app not make the widget disappear?

If so, please try swiping the widget to the right on the lock screen to clear it, then reboot the phone.

Hi @Wiimer
I have always had the notifications disabled, but the widget is always there. Swiping to the right doesn't work. It doesn't want to go away. I use an Honor tablet. For streaming I don't even use WHA, but the proprietary Tidal app and yet the damn widget is always there, at the bottom of the lock screen.

That is odd. 🤔
Does tapping the widget, open the WiiM app after unlocking it?

If it is a WiiM widget, the album icon will show "WiiM".

This is a suggestion by Jemini...

Please try a long press or pinch in/pinch out on the lock screen to see if the edit widget screen appears. If there is a music control widget, remove it.
