That is not what I meant. The lock-screen show as if something is playing but you cannot stop it as the WiiM Home App has been closed. No big issue.Yes, see the discussion above. You can remove it easily if you wish.

Yes. It's the integration with the media API. That is good. You can now adjust the volume without having the WHA in the foreground. As far as I can see it isn't just a lock screen notification, it is there all the time so why use lock screen in the description?
I have Ultra turned off, and the lock screen says "playback" )))That is not what I meant. The lock-screen show as if something is playing but you cannot stop it as the WiiM Home App has been closed. No big issue.
My xiaomi has no volume control. The WiiM Home App is now finally integrated with the Android media API
There is a strange issue with the volume control in the lock-screen. It is not going to zero when turned all the way down or muted. The minimum volume possible depends on what the volume was when leaving the WiiM Home App.
On my xiaomi it disappears when I exit the app.The lock-screen also stay active after the WiiM Home App is closed but doesn't work. I have seen that with some other apps also, so maybe a android issue?
Maybe it is not yet optimized for each model
So when I open the BBC Sounds app on my phone and change the volume in BBC Sounds it adjusts the volume of my WiiM amp as well. Is that really what we want?Yes. It's the integration with the media API. That is good. You can now adjust the volume without having the WHA in the foreground.
Just need the volume control to allow to mute also.
Yes, of course, I agree with you completely. This could be correct, but even so, it's an excellent feature and the minor issues are easily rectified. I imagine that WiiM will continue to tweak and improve the implementation, but for its first inclusion in the WHA for Android devices, I think it's excellent.
No one else having issue with the "lock-screen" volume? There is a strange issue with the volume control in the lock-screen. It is not going to zero when turned all the way down or muted. The minimum volume possible depends on what the volume was when leaving the WiiM Home App.
No one else having issue with the "lock-screen" volume?
So you can turn the WiiM volume all the way down and all the way up with the phone volume control, with WHA in the background?Volume remains as per the level set in the WHA, unless I change it.
with the phone volume control,
It works the same wrong way with with the slider, for me.Well, it was with the slider on the widget. I don't usually use the device buttons. I will try it tomorrow with the buttons.
Yes, I tested on Galaxy tab and Xiaomi, and the volume control is not sync. In case you are wondering, I was able to control the volume on the Xiaomi, but only +-7% when I press and hold the volume button. on the Galaxy I can set it to 0%. (But when I do the same test as you I get the same results.)No one else having issue with the "lock-screen" volume?
If my phone volume is zero when I go into WHA and I set the WiiM to play at 40% then when leaving the WHA I can not go below the 40%, even when muting the phone volume! I can turn the volume up and down but not below initial volume.
It looks like the resulting WiiM volume is the sum of the WHA volume and the phone volume settings.
I am on a OnePlus phone.
If I start with the volume set to zero then put the app in the background if I increase the volume to maximum using the phone volume controls the WiiM volume increases to 24. Not impressed. So you can turn the WiiM volume all the way down and all the way up with the phone volume control, with WHA in the background?
Not impressed.
It also shouldn't adjust the WiiM volume while the phone volume is being used to control BBC Sounds volume. I think my best option is to make sure the Home app is closed down when I play musicLooks like some refinement and tweaks for Volume Control will need to be actioned for a future update.
Lock-screen volume control also not in sync on my Samsung Galaxy S23+ phone.Yes, I tested on Galaxy tab and Xiaomi, and the volume control is not sync.
