Has the touch area of the volume slider been adjusted in this update?

On my phone, I find it more difficult to adjust the volume than before. The touch area feels narrower. (But On my tablet it is the same as before.)

Or have my fingers gotten fatter?

Not sure about being narrower, but I've noticed the sliders are a lot more difficult to move accurately on both my Android tablet and phone app versions. I thought it was my fingers, but something has definitely changed with this latest update.

What do you mean by narrower? I’ve noticed it slides a little quicker. Like I find it harder to fine tune.

Like this 😭

In my case it doesn't seem to be a touch area issue as tapping on the slide bar doesn't respond. Re-installing the app might cure it, but I haven't tried it yet. Deleting the cache did not solve..

@WiiM Support, @WiiM Team,

Ticket #541112

Comparative tests on an Android phone with an older app (3.2.6) installed show that the behaviour of the slide bar has changed.

Previously, by tapping and slightly dragging on the slide bar, the volume could be adjusted directly.

In the current app this is no longer possible and the pointer now moves in tandem with whatever position you drag on the slide bar.

Perhaps this change is causing the problem. I hope that this will be addressed as soon as possible.

I submit a ticket.
Thank you so much.

Edit:
Again, it works perfectly fine on Android tablets 3.3.4. The only problem is with my Android phone.

It’s the same behavior on iOS and I actually like it that way because I do not have to tap exactly on the little dot.

And I recently discovered that tapping once at the slider, it changes volume by 1. Left of the dot -1 and right of it +1. It‘s also quite useful for making small volume adjustments than dragging the dot.

Yes, but my phone can hardly do that anymore. It's very inconvenient now..😢

Let me recap: Leaving aside the lock screen Widget, here used to be three ways to adjust the volume:
  1. Tap and hold the slider button and drag it to the left or the right
  2. Use the phone's volume up and down buttons (as long as you are on any playback related page in the WiiM Home app)
  3. SIngle or multiple taps to either side of the slider button
The latter doesn't work anymore. :( Instead, you can now increase or decrease the volume if you tap, hold and drag anywhere on the slider, as shown by @Wiimer.

Result: I acknowledge the improvement fro those wiping and swiping on their phones. But I don't like it because the tapping method no longer works on my Android phone at all.

Maybe I will eventually get used to it.
