3 coffees? I’d be awake all day 🤣
That's why the WiiM Pro Plus makes me smile

And just the moment you said, it the WiiM Amp Pro does have selectable digital filter types now. 😁

I noticed that's the beta version. 🙂
Does that mean the WiiM amp beta firmware also has a digital filter?
(My amp's in hibernation, so I can't check...)

I don't think it did identify as a beta version when I installed it, but now it does.

Officially it's intended as an "Alarm Fix for Daylight Saving Time".

Essentially these programmable reconstruction filters are nothing that WiiM has done. They are part of the architecture of the ESS SABRE DAC that WiiM is using. See docs on their product line-up:
The question here is if WiiM makes the filter selection available in the firmware or the app.

Correct. And if these filter settings are exposed or not differs between the WiiM products. In particular, the settings are not available for the WiiM Amp and WiiM Amp Pro yet, but they are at least for the current WiiM Amp Pro beta firmware.

The issue for you is that you would have to be on line out RCA as the filters don't apply to optical or coax out 👍
And correct again. The filters are part of the ESS DAC implementation. If the DAC is not used, there is no point in choosing between DAC output filter options.
