What's New:

1. Auto Timing Alignment: Syncs main speakers and subwoofer automatically for optimal audio timing (requires app version 2.12.2+).
2. USB Disk Ejection: Added manual USB ejection (coming in next app update).
3. Bluetooth Sound Control: Disabled connection notifications when not in Bluetooth input mode.
4. Google Cast Upgrade: Fixed Output Resolution support and improved sync with Google Speaker Groups.
5. New Clock Faces: Two clock face options for display (coming in next app update).
6. Playback Fixes: Improved metadata, fixed skipping issues, added WMA lossless support, and reduced Preset latency.

Bug Fixes:

1. Offline Responsiveness: Improved response without internet.
2. General Enhancements: Various performance boosts and bug fixes.

Yeah, I’ve a few devices on beta firmware (persistent groups, DLNA cast, smart presets) and am losing track as to which device is on which beta. I wish they’d move these betas along as they’ve been pretty dormant after the first or maybe second beta release - DLNA cast beta firmware is now nearly three months old

I think the persistent group beta is only Ultra.

If it was only the Ultra, it’d be very hard to test grouping

I think Smart Preset might be Ultra only…

What does it actually mean that this particular firmware version is still "in progress"? More features to be added to this firmware version? Or is te changelog incomplete?

It means that it's a staggered rollout.

No, it just means like all firmware upgrades that it’s being rolled out over the entire estate over a few days rather than being immediately available for everyone.

Bit by bit wiim will add more features. Feature updates is what set them apart from other brand. Most will give you update but that just bug fix. I like feature being added here and there but the best part it’s free.

Minority does but flac is what most people use. Wiim like to give its users a choice of features they want. Auto timing has been release and wiim is not done refining rc. Independent peq rc, auto level and multiple sweep will further refine rc. Are you ready on next beta maybe call auto level?

When it’s your device turn, you will see a green arrow or prompt that there’s update. You can’t force update. Give it 2 days to week after the posted release note.

As has been said, the firmware is rolled out over the entire estate over a few days - there’s no discernible pattern by region or when bought etc. Please be patient

Everyone should post when they receive the update. For the last Amp update there were a lot of posts in a short time period saying the update had arrived but none before that.

Actually I think people should stop doing that.

The rollout process is no different from Android firmware updates or even just Google Play app updates. You get it when you get it. So what?
