Please note that in 'What's New' number 3, reference to LMS as Logitech Media Server is no longer the case. Over the last few months LMS has become independent of Logitech and is now completely community based, driven and supported - it is also acquiring many new feature updates. LMS has been rebranded as Lyrion Music Server, thus retaining its moniker, LMS.

The feature I have been waiting for. I got the update and in comparison with stereo rc the independent rc surpass stereo rc by a good margin. Instrumental separation was noticeable and spread out wider and the soundstage is even larger. The drawback the subwoofer cant be use. It rendered my dual sub to unusable to this point.

While it's good to see updates, I must admit to being disappointed that this update didn't contain smart presets nor persistent groups which I thought (and was led to believe) were imminent. I'll not even mention DLNA casting :(
What are smart presets and persistent groups?

What are smart presets and persistent groups?
Smart presets will allow you to associate settings like content, inputs , outputs, volume, EQ etc to one of the app/remote preset buttons, while persistent groups will allow you to name groups of WiiM devices and quickly play to them rather than having to relink them each time.

Hi to all and to @WiiM Support / @WiiM Team
Yesterday I tried the Automatic Room Correction using 2 different DACs connected to the Ultra in different ways and I encountered a problem .
1) SMSL 5oo MKIII, connected via SPDIF to Ultra. Everything went smoothly 🤗 Sweep Tone L; Sweep Tone R; creation of the curve. (y)
2) Topping D70 Pro Sabre , connected via USB to Ultra and here the problem arose ☹️ In the ARC, the measurement of the L channel has started. Sweep tone played correctly; then the measurement of the R channel started, but instead of hearing the Sweep Tone, an indefinable noise was heard, a sort of electric discharge for the duration of the measurement. Obviously when the curve was produced, that of the R channel was completely incoherent. The bass increased in an unbelievable way and the highs cut.
I then did an experiment without changing anything at device and connection ( cable ) level.
Here's what I did:
Balance of my Pre Pioneer all to L. Sweep Tone; measurement; and I obtained the curve for the L channel that I saved as Auto L
Balance of my Pre Pioneer all to R Sweep Tone ( which in this case was reproduced correctly ); measurement; and I obtained the curve for the R channel that I saved as Auto R.
At this point I think I can say that the cable or the DAC had nothing to do with the defect found on the measurement of R channel because they were the same.
As a last test I repeated the ARC on the Topping connected with the USB. Same defect already found.
When the measurement of the R channel starts instead of the Sweep Tone you can hear that kind of electric discharge.🤔
Before opening a ticket I wanted to know if anyone has had the same problem.

I don't know if this has anything to do with your issue, but there is still a bug in the current Android app.

The EQ is not disabled when performing a L/R RC, so the test sweep will reflect the EQ value. For this reason, the EQ must be turned off before the RC is run.

Sorry, the app was updated on Dec 4, so this bug may have already been resolved.
I'll check back later.

Hi @Wiimer
Thanks for your reply. I forgot to specify. For the ARC measurements I used an iPad.
Its microphone seems quite reliable to me and in any case the results, bugs aside, are satisfactory, always for me. ;)
I will also try with an Android tablet, Honor Pad 9
Regarding the App, I have the December 4th version on both IOS and Android

The bug I mentioned does not seem to be related. Also, It was fixed in the latest app. 🙂

I tried RC with the Ultra's USB output and there was no noise in the sweep sound. So far it looks fine on my device.

Great with Room correction for right and left channel, but kind of useless if you use subwoofer. Is it planned to also include a separate correction for the subwoofer channel?

Hi @slartibartfast and @Dako
I'll do one reply for both. Yes. only with independent L/R RC. Room correction in stereo is ok and, as i told, if i do a correction per channel moving the balance first on one channel and then on the other all works properly. I have the sweep tone on both channels. Of course when I listen to music, both channels are perfect.
No, I don't have and don't use a subwoofer

dual channel management of the peq requires even more caution in gain management...by adopting the gain of the one requiring the biggest drop...
good luke

This update was applied yesterday. Since then, I've noticed sporadic loud POP sound when Qobuz and/or Radio Paradise switches songs. I've never heard this from my Ultimate before -- have had it for several weeks. Any suggestions/solutions?

What output are you using?
This is reasonably common when sample rates change with some external dacs. I'm sure I recall some mention of this when using analog out, but can't be sure if it was introduced / fixedwith previous firmware updates. Maybe it's back again?
Probably worth sending feedback via the wiim app anyway; it may not be this sample rate change, but as you say it happens when switching songs it sure seems likely.
