WiiM Ultra Firmware v5.2.711448 - Mar 22, 2025

Good afternoon friends of the WiiM forum. My question is the following and I don't know if it happens to other members of the WiiM forum, but when I send audio either from my iPhone or Mac Apple Watch via Bluetooth, the song cover is not showing. Only the Bluetooth logo on the screen of my WiiM Ultra. The same thing happens in the new Apple TV app WiiM Home TV. What should I do to get the cover to show on the screen of my Ultra device? Thank you for any help you give me!
I don’t think a Bluetooth stream supports artwork, no?

Admittedly, I never use Bluetooth for streaming to any of my WiiMs, but why do you?

If you have music stored e.g. locally on your iPhone you should be able to stream it via Wi-Fi directly, using the WiiM Home app (Browse tab > My Library > My Music).
If you are using global player (radio) and you rewind a live radio station, you lose the ability to chromecast on android. This is my use case.

Alright, the cd player (connected over optical) is now correctly displayed as 16 bit/44.1 khz.

If only the Ultra would show the custom names of the analog and digital inputs, would be nice.1000043042.jpg

Hi pieterv1, team

Our team is working on this feature. It should be available in the next release. Please stay tuned!
Thanks.

I asked for this enhancement (#509810) 7 months ago and as of now we can rename all inputs on the WHA and two of them are also renamed on the Ultra display input selection page. The original names are however still showing on the Ultra now playing page.

A similar renaming of outputs would be nice also.

I don't feel that, but I'm not opposing one. RME has this nice Totalyze (as they like to call it) with 1/3 oct spectrum analyzer under Digicheck, but you need one of their boxes for it. This is from when I had a RME Fireface UC and a PC as my speaker system front end:

Installed the new firmware yesterday and now cannot set and save standby time as it defaults to ‘never’ once I exit the standby mode settings. Also, if I hang around for a few seconds, the standby mode disappears from view.

Do I need to raise a bug ticket?

Try power cycling or even a factory reset of your device. If that doesn’t fix it, then by all means submit a ticket
