This update sucks. Everything was working perfectly, now HDMI arc doesn’t work until I reboot tv a couple times and Tidal randomly pauses music. Anyway to revert to the better completely functional prior firmware?

Instead of complaining that there’s issue you could simply send message via app and they will look at your log. There maybe unique about your setup that the rest of us don’t.

I understand people's frustrations with firmware instability, but personally I'm encouraged that WiiM is actively working on improving these products. The alternative is products that might be good in some respects, but have annoying bugs or deficiencies which never get fixed. I own a lot of devices that fall into this category. So yes I hope that WiiM gets better at catching problems before they go out, but I also want to see them continue to be aggressive in pushing what this system can do. It's also worth noting that the staged rollout system did its job here. Early feedback prevented wide deployment of firmware with issues. I'm not trying to minimize anyone's bad experience here. WiiM staff seem responsive. I would urge anyone affected to file a feedback ticket with them.

I have to get my hats off to WiiM Team, although I don’t use all the features, I think this is the first update that has issues that might be more severe.

Hi DeadBob27,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please help us investigate by sending feedback through the WiiM Home app: go to the More tab and tap Feedback. Once we receive your report, our engineers will look into it promptly. After that, we will assist in reverting your device to the previous firmware version so you can check if the issue still persists.

Hopefully, we won't get this update if there is an issue with it. We will probably get a revised version, and the thread title will be updated to show the new version.

You might think I'd have something better to do, but apparently I don't.
(just in case it's not obvious to some, tongue firmly in cheek.)

I need updates, to ease my pain
I need to find, find, a release to cure my bane
But Brantome said you can't hurry Wiim
No you just have to wait
Fixes don't come easy
It's a game of wait and wait
You can't hurry Wiim
No, you just have to wait
You gotta trust, give it time
No matter how long it takes

But how many updates must I stand
Before I find the one to let me play again
Right now the only thing that keeps me hanging on
When I feel my strength, yeah, it's almost gone
I remember Wiimer said

You can't hurry Wiim
No, you just have to wait
He said trust, give it time
No matter how long it takes (gotta wait)

No Wiim, Wiim don't make it easy
But I keep on waiting, anticipating for that
Soft chime to talk to me at night
To let me know the update's alright

Do you need a "Mutter" tag? 🤔

Given the delay, I guess that’s on the Slowtown label? 🤣

Hopefully they realised that DLNA casting doesn’t work, and they are fixing it before they release the firmware update. 🤔

This fw update was prosecuted, tortured and nailed. The resurrection will be delayed.
