You're confused like I was; he's not talking about using DLNA to cast to the WiiM (as endpoint), he's talking about using the WiiM to cast out (as source) over DLNA to something else.

WiiM works fine as a DLNA/UPnP endpoint. I've used this to send audio in high-res lossless from Audirvana on my MacBook Air to my WiiM Ultra.

Yes, I was referring to DLNA Casting to DLNA compatible Speakers.

@WiiM Team could you please add an option to export RoomFit eq settings to the "normal" equalizer settings, or an option to revert to the previous "Room Correction" / EQ behaviour , where I could assign a preset to a specific EQ settings ?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as lossless YouTube Music?

-Ed
Not only no, but their quality is by far the worst. Like, I can but struggle to hear the difference between spotify's highest quality and lossless, but youtube (and youtube music) stick out like a sore thumb amounst streaming services. The reason to get youtube premium is for ad-free youtube and if your music tastes are super niche (like mine, who really likes hymns and other sacred music that has a LOT more options on youtube than anywhere else).

I have given up all hope of DLNA Casting ever working, and it seems like WiiM have too.
I cast to my Ultra via a small - but great - app named CORRD and it works with no issues. I use it with my Cambridge Audio as well a a with my WiiM and worse same way with both.
Which app are you trying to use, is I may ask?

The issue is with casting from the WiiM device, and using the WiiM Home app to cast to DLNA compatible speakers.

yessss finally! thank god 😅

Now fixing the behavior of the "back" button then the world is a even better place 😃

Native Apple Music Support would be a dream 🙌

Pretty much the same reasons I have YouTube music. I follow a number of YouTube channels, can't stand the ads.
The free YouTube music was just a bonus. The variety of styles and types of music that I've discovered on YTM is the reason I stick with it.
I've tried some of the more " audiophile" services over the years and they didn't add anything for me with my ears.
So if Wiim's YTM works out, I'll be well happy.
In the end, it's each to their own.
👍
