I don’t have a YouTube premium account, so I’m unable to try the WiiM YouTube Music integration.

I do have a standard YouTube account, but don’t feel that a premium account would offer me much.
It required paid subscription which I also have standard. The only benefits is that you get few advertised and same quality as standard. I just don’t see paying just to get reduced advertisements.

There’s no need to get any adverts with the standard account if you use a suitable browser.

Hi All,

We have fixed the YouTube Music playback failure issue, which only occurred in the European region. Please try again and check if it works now.
Thanks. Everything is playing at 129kbps though - is that correct?

Mine updated during the night and curious to know why YouTube is enabled by default
No big deal to go in and turn it off

A lot of services are - for one thing it helps stall questions like “why can’t I see xyz in the list of services”…

I am logged into my YouTube Premium account (not YouTube Music Premium) and I don't get anywhere when trying to access via the WiiM Home app, all I get is a prompt to upgrade to YouTube Music Premium:

Great but unfortunately I don't have any improvements or even new software... I use WiiM Ultra in Poland.

I understood YouTube Premium included YouTube Music Premium, so I’d drop a line to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app to see if they can spot what has gone wrong from your app/device logs.

This ends up being my mistake/misunderstanding. It turns out we have YouTube Premium Lite, which doesn't cut it for this purpose:

Super. I specifically bought YT premium on this occasion :) . To have a higher quality of sound on Wiim Ultra. And I got the same quality as on the free account. Well, simply a revelation. Congratulations to the genius who announced such a thing and released without warning. that it does not work as it should.

Do you really think anyone buys Wiim Ultra to listen to music in 128 kbps?

I'd go shout at YouTube, most people know the best you are going to get is 256k... YouTube doesn't support hi-res Audio..
