So....

I went to my local Richer Sounds in the UK today in the hope of a look and a listen to the vibelink.

Even though it's listed on their website I was told they wasn't expecting and stock for about 4 weeks.

I've also been searching YouTube weekly for a proper review of the unit so far there hasn't been a proper reviews of the unit.

My question is was the launch of the vibelink messed up somehow? It's strange that even though the product has been available for awhile now there is a weird lack of reviews and stock.

It feels like a really soft launch of a product.

Am I missing something?
The shop I go to in Dublin won't have it for another 4 weeks, I got one online 5 days ago, ..

As you’re aware, only last week @RyanWithWiiM said they were working in getting units out to reviewers, stereonet published this review and Amazon UK have it for next day delivery. Guess it depends on how you define messed up…
I define messed up as hiden in the ether.

Maybe it's just me, when I heard of the vibelink I was intrigued, excited and full of anticipation.

Cambridge, arcam, polk, Dali etc etc etc when launching a new product make sure that reviews are out as soon as a product is launched, but things seem really muted with the launch of the vibelink. We had a quick preview at the hifi show, one questionable review before launch.

The only reason I ask/question thing is because it was a product that may have suited my needs but wasn't prepared to blind buy I have an 80% trust in YT reviews and a 90% trust in listening to a product in person and even after 4 weeks of launch I've no been able to try either.

Just buy one from Amazon, and depending where you are in the UK, you should have it tomorrow. You can try it, and return it if it doesn't suit your needs.

Yeah your right I could do that, and after you mentioned it I took a look at Amazon and the 4 out of 5 stars from 42 reviews, again it doesn't give me confidence in the product.

Please forgive me if I come across as negative but shouldn't buying hifi be about the experience, rather than buy it and if you don't like it send it back?

It's probably a "me thing" but from a product I was really looking forward to hearing the hype about and feeling like it was the right thing for me,I've been left feeling underwheled and think that any demo that feeling will be at the back of my mind.

People may not agree with the way I feel and that's fine but for me it's a no and I'll look elsewhere for an amp that sells itself to me.

Again just my thoughts and feelings and no malice to anyone or WiiM.

It reminds me a bit of when the first CD players were launched, and I had read about them in the HiFi magazines, and thought I would like one.
I just happened to be in my local Comet store, and there was the Sony CDP-101on display. I asked when they would be available to buy, and I ended up buying one there and then.

A few weeks later I was in my local Sony dealer, and they had only just received their display model, and were taking orders for when they got their allocated stock delivered some time later.

I get what your saying and I've been there, what ever happened to comet..

Bottom line is I've felt underwheled and that's a me thing.

I don't think you would be disappointed with a Vibelink if you gave one a try.
I probably wouldn't be disappointed with a £50 amp from Ali express either. Reaching the later years of my life I don't want to settle for mediocre,I also don't want to spend Macintosh money.

I had 3 amps I wanted to test side by side, all very different and all at different price points, an A B C comparison.

Vibelink

Audio lab 6000a

Technics G700m2

My speakers I'm happy with are Wharfedale Super Linton, currently running through a Sony AVR.

I’ve been very pleased with my vibelink. Rent one from Amazon and try it out to see how it sounds in your own listening space. That’s the best no risk trial you can get.

Does the Vibelink sound better than the Audiolab 6000a?
