joined the idea of considering it more as a 70/75w...which is nothing to be ashamed of and is sufficient for most cases concerning the essential uses of it, for example a pair of easy-to-operate bookshelves
;-)
Yeah this seems to be a fairly apt summary by the sound of it:
"Although not quite as muscular as its rated power suggests, WiiM’s new Vibelink Amp is still a very capable product that offers great sound and build quality given its low price"

just find out a little more...... ;-)

(but if you wait any longer, there will definitely be other newcomers in this fast-moving market...which won't help your in-depth study before buying ;-) )

Following your advice I've done some more research on the A5/A7 and it does seem to be a pretty impressive little amp. Also learned that the ugly 'Soyyin' branding isn't on shipped models. Still not a very attractive amp though and not sure how keen I am on buying from Aliexpress. Maybe I should just stick with my NAD C316BEE V2!

I have no interest in fosi, nor wiim, nor 3rd... etc... no problemo...

Did I miss these measurements in the Stereonet review? ;) What do power figures tell us without distortion level and measuring procedure? ;)
The way I read the review is that the Vibelink not meeting its 100w/ch rating was nothing more than a subjective impression, not a measurement. That's the popular way to do things with the "audiophile" reviewers.

just joining a discussion based precisely on calculation methods or constant approach, a little rough (in my opinion more interesting) we observe that the gain in power is relatively low in comparison with the amp pro (+- 60 vs 70), but that in the case of the pro a protection limiting it has been removed on the new one.
on other protocols (at 1 percent distortion) makes it seem much more generous than the amp pro.... ("pro" is stopped before)

to remember just, the new one is a little more powerful than the "pro", but not that much ;-)

(but the efforts on the caloric side to manage the increase in power, if confirmed that they are effective, will be a good point (comparaison with pro""?))

;)

Exactly. Sums up the entire review quite nicely.

Am I wrong or all the pictures used WiiM stock photos? ;)

last night i was able to put the wiim ultra & vibelink combo under real load and i have to say that the bass cones of the buchardt p300 are now really working at the back, which was only partially the case with the wiim amp pro. the low sequences are rich and clear. i listen to a lot of electronic music and for me the combo is definitely an added value and i'm not going back to wiim amp pro even though the power consumption has now almost doubled due to the combo.

thanks wiim and we are patiently waiting for the wiim amp pro 2 in double height with 2x2xx watt at 4ohm 😉 - only dreaming

Quick side note: The drivers on the back are actually not connected to the amplifier. :D

These are passive radiators, excited by the air in the cabinet at the frequency they were designed for. The front mounted woofers are really doing the work, but the passive radiators really behave exactly like a bass reflex port (sans the port noise), relieving the woofers of some excursion around the tuning frequency.

However, if you notice a difference that really means you're getting higher bass output now. If this is due to the fact that you enjoy listening at a higher level in general or just more bass output I cannot tell from afar, of course.

Passive radiators have a small defect...they have a hysteria phenomenon at their "natural frequency"... ;-)
(but it remains an interesting solution even if more expensive and more delicate to regulate than a simple br port ;-) )

thanks for the comment what i am aware of. i had the opportunity to test different speakers in a studio and at home including really expensive ones and i decided on the buchardt audio p300 regardless of the money. for my electronic music needs they were the right ones... price performance is unbeatable in size and the design always knocks my socks off..
