I only have the beta on one device. Can you test 2 WiiM devices?
Me too. I meant second WiiM as the receiver.I only have the beta on one device.
I could do, but the main object of this DLNA Cast feature was to cast to other third party DLNA devices, and not WiiM devices.Me too. I meant second WiiM as the receiver.
I don't know. WiiMs are dlna compatible, so I test using WiiMs. And casting works fine in this scenario.I could do, but the main object of this DLNA Cast feature was to cast to other third party DLNA devices, and not WiiM devices.
My RIVA speakers support 24 bit 192 kHz via DLNA, so they should work.I don't know. WiiMs are dlna compatible, so I test using WiiMs. And casting works fine in this scenario.
When you pause the sender, for how long approximately your speakers continue to play?My RIVA speakers support 24 bit 192 kHz via DLNA, so they should work.
If only WiiM could come up with a tried and tested system that works very well without any issues, and lets say they call it WiiM Cast, they would have a winner on their hands.@QuarryHunslet this feature is the most difficult as it has been in beta till now. It doesn’t look like it will be ready anytime soon.
Approximately 4 seconds. When you pause the sender, for how long approximately your speakers continue to play?
Same here.Approximately 4 seconds.
A simple solution would be to add an option to disable transcoding. No plans for bit perfect, up to PCM192kHz ? This would be a game changer
To output Amazon Music HD or Tidal HiRes to UPnP renderer, bit perfectly
I have no idea why that isn't the default.A simple solution would be to add an option to disable transcoding.
Feedback in WHA. May be we can convince WiiM.I have no idea why that isn't the default.
Have you raised a ticket to provide feedback to Wiim?Just joined the DNLA beta on my Wiim Amp. firmware 5.0.705358. I am trying to cast to my Bose speakers, however despite being able to see them and select them in pairing, when I start to play anything the output reverts to speaker output. ( I have tried all three transcoding options ) I can however cast via DNLA to my Wiim Pro plus. I have proven that my Bose speakers accept DNLA casts by playing through them from my NAS .
