Ongoing Beta Beta Test: DLNA Cast

I could do, but the main object of this DLNA Cast feature was to cast to other third party DLNA devices, and not WiiM devices.
I don't know. WiiMs are dlna compatible, so I test using WiiMs. And casting works fine in this scenario.

@QuarryHunslet this feature is the most difficult as it has been in beta till now. It doesn’t look like it will be ready anytime soon.
If only WiiM could come up with a tried and tested system that works very well without any issues, and lets say they call it WiiM Cast, they would have a winner on their hands. ;)

I have finished testing beta 4, as it is worse than beta 3, and doesn't work with my RIVA speakers.

I will await beta 5, which will hopefully bring some improvements, and work with my RIVA speakers.

I had the hope that I then can use my Sonos speakers (till I have all sold) but I never got the beta. I entered the MAC of my Ultra two times. No reaction at all.

Just joined the DNLA beta on my Wiim Amp. firmware 5.0.705358. I am trying to cast to my Bose speakers, however despite being able to see them and select them in pairing, when I start to play anything the output reverts to speaker output. ( I have tried all three transcoding options ) I can however cast via DNLA to my Wiim Pro plus. I have proven that my Bose speakers accept DNLA casts by playing through them from my NAS .

Have you raised a ticket to provide feedback to Wiim?
