Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Qobuz Connect

This is what I installed. Can’t fund a Qobuz connect option?
That’s just the Qobuz app - it needs to be partnered with a corresponding beta WiiM firmware version. Did you get an Ultra firmware update when you were accepted into the Qobuz beta?

Yea. I double checked. It’s current. I have a Google cast option. But when I try that. Just get a spinning connection option. Ugh.
Make sure that all your control devices (phone/desktop) AND your target devices (WiiM) are on the same subnet/VLAN and if on WiFi on the same frequency if possible, and have static IP addresses tied to MAC addresses. Confirm on your router that everything is as it should be, and refresh addresses and/or reboot if necessary.

It's working for me right now (QConnect Android beta app and WiiM Ultra). Sounds like your phone or app. Maybe try force closing the app on your phone and rebooting? If that doesn't work, perhaps a network issue?

Do you get the problem when shifting audio quality to CD that a couple of us get on the Pro? It starts to play distorted audio until I switch back to a Hi-Res track, I wonder if the Ultra handles it better?

Only when I'm Qconnecting to a WiiM device group. Right this moment I'm sending 16/44 to my Ultra and it's perfect.

The Ultra's Audio Settings are non-fixed volume output, output resolution to downstream DAC at 24/192, and I've got room correction on with auto EQ. Can't think of any other settings that might play a part.

I'll try sending to one of my Pros in a minute...stay tuned.

ETA: Sends CD quality to my Pro without any distortion. Same settings as the Ultra. Transitions from high-res to CD quality occur without incident.

Yes I am using a group. Hopefully they get this fixed soon as it is pretty crucial behaviour
Yes, it's very annoying. I don't know what root cause is, but perhaps the WiiM master device isn't handling stream resolution changes elegantly, which could be for any number of reasons. The device also doesn't display track progress properly, which could be related. I'm cautiously hopeful, through, since WiiM managed to get a similar setup working with Tidal Connect.

In your setup, are your WiiM devices connected to downstream DACs?

No DAC involved

I've already reported the problem twice to both WiiM and Qobuz. Since a new iPhone beta app was just released, I'm wondering whether a new Android build will soon appear. I think the problem resides elsewhere, so I don't think an app change will fix it, but I'll wait a bit longer before turning the squeaky wheel again.

Actually not Quite True.

WiiM Pro as Connect Target (not connected to anything)
Wiim Amp to a set of speakers
Wiim Pro to an Amp via Coax (this one not always in the group when the problem happens)
Wiim Mini to a set of powered speakers

I can make it happen with just the target Pro and the Amp so others aren't the cause.
