At the moment, yes, unless you have requested to be part of the wiim beta testing. In Tidal I choose a flac track 24bit 192khz and it shows in yellow letters MAX/FLAC . When I change to tidal connect to wiim plus the track in tidal changes to MAX. Is this normal?
thanks for the reply. I registered with the beta firmware. The number release is 4.8.532846 build date 20231018 (yesterday) .Is this the beta or not?At the moment, yes, unless you have requested to be part of the wiim beta testing.
Edit: I may be answering the question I thought you asked, not the question you actually asked....
I should probably leave it to someone else who has the beta to answer!
Yes is the beta, same number on miniThanks for the reply. I registered with the beta firmware. The number release is 4.8.532846 .Is this the beta or not?
I do not have any extra DAC. Just Wiim Pro Plus.
No, but WiiM will do the first unfold whether you use the Wiim home app or tidal connect. Is the Wiim Plus internal DAC MQA?
Using the internal DAC of the Plus, is it better to transmit from Tidal connect or from the Wiim application?

On android when you just click "MAX" it changes to FLAC. When you press-hold it it gets you to the preferencesI forgot to say that on iOS version, if you touch the bitrate indication, it toggles with "Max" back and forth.
On android, touching "flac" badge, it opens streaming preferences.
Do we need to sign up to Beta again or is this auto sent to those already registered? Thanks! We have released a new beta firmware for WiiM, which solved the stuttering playback issue. Please try it again.
You should get it automatically I believeDo we need to sign up to Beta again or is this auto sent to those already registered? Thanks!
Maybe I'm still on an older tidal Android version. My last Android update is older than whom on iOS...On android when you just click "MAX" it changes to FLAC. When you press-hold it it gets you to the preferences
In windows it opens the tab for Audio Quality where you see Max: up to 24bit,192Khz. But this is not clear what is the real streaming quality of the file playing
I seem to be limited to 24/96, even for tracks that I know are 24/192I just got an update to 4.8.532836 - is this the Beta Tidal FLAC version?
Screenshots in comment #42 would suggest otherwise - check your output settingsI seem to be limited to 24/96, even for tracks that I know are 24/192
