Truely revolutionary looks. I still love it.

it's a real shame that it didn't integrate the phono, see just mm, and the headphone output of the ultra...

I agree that a phono MM input (and headphones output) would really suite an all-in-one box well. But both were neither announced nor expected, so right now it is what it is.

Watch out for the Amp Ultra or Amp Ultra Plus.

Does anyone out there have a source that has recently compared various wireless and non-wireless audio streaming formats/services? How close quality-wise would streaming Apple Music from my iPhone 16 via Bluetooth 5.3 to the Wiim Amp Pro compare to say direct streaming via Tidal or Qobuz?

Probably close but that require the source (your iPhone) to be on streaming that.

Bluetooth codecs like the SBC/AAC codecs that WiiM support can only deliver up to around 320kbps lossy streams, while Tidal and Qobuz can deliver up to 9216kbps lossless, if you wish to take bitrate as a measure of quality.

No, airplay 2 can support up to 24/48 lossless, it’s just with Apple Music that it recodes to 256kbps AAC.

I have had ordered one Amp pro and I am a roon user.

It normally takes a month or two after release for Roon certification to come thru. In the meantime, you can use Chromecast via Roon.

I know there were talks about using a second device for the rear speakers, but this almost makes it sound like you could use one amp pro for a surround setup. (I know that isn't the case, but the wording is a bit confusing)

According to WiiM's shop on Amazon.com the only available options are:

• Amp - Space Gray
• Amp - Silver
• Amp Pro - Dark Grey

Can't tell if Dark Grey is really different from Space Gray since unfortunately I haven't seen them side by side, yet. But Silver is definitely not an available colour for the WiiM Amp Pro so far.

My credit card got charged early this morning by Amazon for my Wiim Amp Pro order so an "it's on its way" notice should be coming sometime today. Shipping has begun!

Amazon delivered my Amp Pro today. Absolutely loving it so far, wonderful sound, especially with FLAC streams.
