Pricing & Availability

WiiM Sound launches in Q3 2025 on Amazon and select retailers. Stay tuned for pricing details, we'll announce them when the product becomes available. Full details at www.wiimhome.com.

Good Lord, I hope there will be no similarities

Fair enough. Please forgive my ignorance. It was the only other smart speaker I've personally come across that looked similar and had a display screen. Anyway, given I cannot get any response from WiiM if the Sound will even be released in Australia, given their Audio Pro versions weren't, I'm guessing perhaps the Sound will be a no go here as well.

Apologies if I broke the rules somehow.

(I'm beginning to understand that passively aggressively ridiculing those of us that don't possess a requisite level of tech knowledge is somewhat of a bloodsport here.)

I am sure the Sound will be available in all regions since it is a proper WiiM product and not a modified version of someone else's. The Audi Pro speakers weren't available in Europe either.

No aggression on my part, neither active nor passive.

It's just that anything being "like Bose" usually means it's crap. :)

Some got that joke.

I'm expecting these to be good for rear surrounds in a Wiim 5.1 setup. If Wiim could add 10 band PEQ to the sub out on the Ultra then that would save me a lot of money on a Denon AVR........

The Audio Pro A10 web page has pictures of them mounted on the ceiling, I'm now wondering if the Wiim Sound could be used for Atmos.......

I've just checked and the first post states the Sound has 3.5mm input.

If they measure well then I would consider all Wiim Sound Atmos apart from the LCR.

I'm pleased you find genuine requests for information amusing. I guess that must be an audiophile thing that I'm not privy to. I trust that belittling my query improved your day in some small but satisfying way. I'm always happy to help.

(Expected more from someone who appears to have an official capacity here.)

Anyway...at the risk of sounding like a broken record perhaps, I shall ask one last time:

@RyanWithWiiM @WiiM Support @WiiM Team is there any news yet on when or if the WiiM Sound Speaker will be released in Australia?
Hi Erebus, Team

WiiM Sound will be released to the global market, including Australia. Please stay tuned! Thank you for your continued patience and support.

Please stay tuned!

I have now opted for an alternative to the WiiM Sound as an additional speaker given the pricing and availability uncertainty etc. Instead, I have purchased a WiiM Mini and an Echo Speaker in the Prime sales.

There may still be a lengthy wait for the WiiM Sound, even if it is affordable here in Australia, and let's face it, at my age I don't even buy green bananas! 😂 So I have gone for this more immediate solution instead.
