Currently in stock at Crutchfield.
what is, specifically? The speakers, yes, definitely see those. Stands/mounts? If so, please link.

For anyone else wondering - I was able to pre-order the NorStone from AVConnection. Ordered on 3/10/26 and received 3/30/26. So not too bad.

Speakers and streamers, no stands or mounts at the moment.

I have using Vebos speaking stands for about a month now they are very well made. The cost for 2 stands was ÂŁ142 including P&P

I'm sure this will be answered somewhere back in the 33 pages of this fred, and I may have asked it myself, but me remembory isn't what it was.

What are rhe differences between the Sound and Sound Lite?

Identical, apart from the Lite not having a screen or a remote, right?

Please and thank you.

Just installed my new WiiM Sound Lite. It’s under the TV in the kitchen, main use as a ’mini soundbar’, in other words just replacing my TV’s own speakers with something better. Secondary usage as a music speaker, for when I’m cooking and there’s nowt on the telly.

I’ve just run a frequency sweep 20Hz to 20kHz from YouTube, first through my TV’s speakers, then through my Sound.

First thing of note, the Sound goes far lower (more in a minute). Secondly, the Sound is far more even (for clarity I’ve run RoomFit). From the telly’s own speakers, as the frequency rises from low to high, the volume fluctuates up and down constantly. On the Sound, and this is purely to my ears, the volume sounds very even across the whole frequency spectrum.

More on the bass. The RoomFit suggests bass pretty even down to 50Hz, then a steady drop off. The sweep from YouTube suggests bass is fairly good down to maybe 40Hz or so. A quick evaluation using my go-to bass track Angel by Massive Attack, the Sound makes my telly sound like a toy. As good as my hi-fi? No. But a lot closer than you’d think possible from such a small box.

Recommended.

After a day or so's usage, I'm finding the WiiM Sound to be a bit less powerful and bassy than my old SONOS Play 5, but not by a lot, especially considering the size difference. And the WiiM is loud enough for me to hear the TV whilst on the other side of the kitchen and cooking (c.4m) and produces music which is comfortably loud enough, though I don't feel I could push it.

The only way I could better this - well, the next least-expensive way - would be something like a WiiM Amp at ÂŁ320 and a pair of decent bookshelf speakers in the ÂŁ250-ish price range. Or maybe a WiiM Mini at ÂŁ90 and a Topping Mini 300 at ÂŁ140. Add a cheap DAC (later, if necessary) for ÂŁ76 (SMSL PS200). That's a little cheaper, and a better amp section.

The soundstage/stereo width would be better, though that's not really necessary in an environment when you're moving around the room, and it'd go louder, but it'd probably not have much more bass. And we're talking about ÂŁ500-ÂŁ600 vs ÂŁ230, not to mention the WiiM Sounds increased flexibility and WAF.

Do you have dynamic bass turned on to compensate at lower volumes?

Yes, and a little bass boost added. And a little more keyed in with GEQ. I'm wary of pushing it too much and distorting, but so far, so good.

I really need to evaluate a little more over the coming day or two. The biggest issue with a direct comparison is that the SONOS has gone completely ti...erm belly-up. When I ran the 20Hz-20kHz a few days ago the sound completely disappeared in the mids, making me think one of the drivers has gone.

...would be a 2nd Sound (Lite) as a L R pair!
For me, this was significantly better than a single Sound in my kitchen.

Edit: Side note - this is the only situation where I thought a stereo pair of Sounds worked well.

Cheers. Can you drill down into 'better' a little? Louder? Bass?

Many thanks.

I’m surprised that you feel the need to boost the bass, as mine has too much bass, even with Dynamic Bass turned to zero.🤔

Like Blue Peter, here's one I prepared earlier.
But yes, two will naturally be louder, and with two placed near walls the bass increases too.

More listening, and I'm a little unsure.

My kitchen is on the ground floor, next door to which is a lounge with a TV, and sound coming from a ÂŁ1,000 JBL soundbar, with wireless sub. Suffice to say, there are no issues with the bass on that.

So I've tried running the same material on both, and pausing/un-pausing as I flit between the two rooms.

What I've found is this. The TV (watching BBC NEWS channel) appears bassier in the lounge, but music sounds very close indeed.

So I'll refine my comments to say that, for music, the Sound has more than enough bass, and more than I'd expect for its size.
