Good advice for any cable, no matter what make or model. My experience with Premium Monoprice RCAs with turbine type plugs is that they detach best if you twist them while pulling, rather than just pulling straight out.
Good advice!....twist them while pulling, rather than just pulling straight out. Good luck!
Dont know. I bought the standard Pro to use with coax, but the connector on my coax-cable wasnt small enough. So I have been using the toslink-cable that was in the box. Works perfectly for me, but I see the hassle for people needing to use analog in/out or coax. What I find strange is that this recessed hole size issue was reported for the pro and was, iirc, increased for the pro plus.
So why the backwards step for the ultra?
Oh well.
Have you tried it on any WiiM-device?This is since ages my secret weapon for very tight connections. The plug is barely bigger than the socket, the plug is cheap and easy to assemble. Even for soldering beginners. Added: Its even possible to do it without soldering, if you trust in small screws.
Hicon should be available at many places.

I had those cables to some "gears ago". Very nice cables but terrible in terms of strain to insert and remove them. Nonetheless a pretty good option if your option is to insert them (carefully) and just forget and go listen to musicHi,
So my cables are pretty hard to fit and a have to use a little force on the Ultra to get them to stay put. Yesterday I took one of the cables out and could se that one of the ports was draged out just a little, I had to push it back in with my finger. Do you thinks it is alright as long as it sounds fine?
I'm no cable freak and these are nothing fancy for thousands of dollars, but a bit över average for sure. Since I got the same brand on all my cables I would rather not spend a lot of money to change them all now. Any ideas for good cables that don't cost a lot of money but that actually fits the Ultra a little better? Or could I use some kind of extension?
I live in Sweden and we have amazon.se here.
Se picture of the tightly fitted cables. As you can see one is sticking out a bit and I dont want to use more force.
Any ideas for solutions that don't cost a lot of money and that wont affect SQ.
Indeed! Have never thought about taking my «ordinary» Pro out of my system Love it!$219.00 for the Pro+ seems to be a pretty good value. The competition must be intense at this price point. Fractions of a cent multiplied by a million can make or break a product. The bean counters have their work cut out for them.
I also had the same difficulty connecting the RCA cables... lots of friction and little space... one of the two, as you can see in the photo, didn't want to go deeper, for fear of ruining something I didn't force it.Hi,

The plugs are not blocking each other, are they? If you plug in the left one first it still sticks out a little?I also had the same difficulty connecting the RCA cables... lots of friction and little space... one of the two, as you can see in the photo, didn't want to go deeper, for fear of ruining something I didn't force it.
There is a gap between them. Zoom in and the letter U is visible. The plugs are not blocking each other, are they? If you plug in the left one first it still sticks out a little?
