I hope that it will also be possible to edit the Preset name and picture.
Allowing editing a empty Preset would also be good.

Better than it was before, but I was really hoping to have a max volume option so it'd either continue to play at the current volume if less than the max or be reduced to the max if currently greater.

Yeah, I’ll try switching between fixed volume and variable when I get the update. As I said, it’s pretty crucial when switching between headphones and other outputs.

I've not used presets at all so far, so can anyone enlighten me.
1 - I presume these will be available from both the remote and the Ultra's screen, is that right?
2 - Can the presets be named?
4 - Can a custom icon be applied to each preset?
5 - Are we any nearer having attached USB storage as an input on the Ultra's screen?
6 - If so, will this be an option on presets?
7 - Are we any nearer having attached USB storage useable from the Ultra's screen?

As per the opening post “The iOS and Android apps are under review by the App Store and Google Play” so hopefully your app will update when it’s available if you have automatic updates turned on

What device presets are you to edit? Maybe it doesn’t have the updated firmware for smart presets
Maybe I should wait for Wiim Pro update
Looks like it, it doesn’t yet have smart preset support in its firmware.

From what I can tell from the updates page(s) you need to have both the app and the device on the latest firmware.

I changed a Preset from "TV" to "Ethernet" and then the edit fails!
Not that well tested!
After restarting the WiiM Home App the setting is back to "TV".
Update: It looks like the app or device is crashing. The app cannot access the device until restarted

Tested on Android. I have continued the test and it only fails some time. Probably some timing issue? It fails in the case where I leave the Edit before the Preset list has been updated with the new settings, on the display.
Maybe a local network problem?
I still have version 4.8.6 of Wiim Pro. Two days ago new version 4.8.7 was released but when I click on check for updates button I got message that no new version is available
Give it another day or so and if it hasn’t updated, contact WiiM. We don’t all get the same updates at the same time.
Smart presets are only available on Ultra for now. Other devices can be expected to be added in the next update.
