Eh? Why would you think that?
The app version that is now available for Android is the older one issued on 17/4/25, no longer the (faulty?) one which was issued on 30/4/25 (the one still mentioned in this thread's title ...).

It’s been reported elsewhere that deletion and re-installation of the app can resolve this.
Thanks, it's working again. Actually, it was a version downgrade that fixed the problem. Honestly, Wiim could have at least responded to my ticket; it's very poor support.... and now... WiiM what are you doing about this problem????

It's clearly been an issue for some but not all users - my Android app v3.2.1.250429.2785b2 installed OK and appears to be running OK as well, apart from the reported behaviour about the lock screen display and volume control.

Well yes but presumably the dodgy lock screen behaviour is the reason it was withdrawn. Also the Audio Output selection which didn't seem to affect the WiiM Amp.

After uninstalling 3.2.1 and re-installing 3.2.0 the ability to see and access my music library on the SD card went away with no way to access the folders on the SD card on my Android phone. Filed a support ticket. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi,

REPLAYGAIN option for local USB files disappeared on v3.2.1 IOS.

Anyone detect this?

I really need this feature.

Already raised a ticket to WiiM team.

No one else having issue with the "lock-screen" volume?

If my phone volume is zero when I go into WHA and I set the WiiM to play at 40% then when leaving the WHA I can not go below the 40%, even when muting the phone volume! I can turn the volume up and down but not below initial volume.

It looks like the resulting WiiM volume is the sum of the WHA volume and the phone volume settings.

I am on a OnePlus phone.
Hi hgo58

@hgo58

Sorry for the inconvenience caused!

The root cause is that our app does not directly detect when the volume buttons are pressed. Instead, we only receive notifications when the system volume changes, and we use these notifications to adjust the WiiM volume. We are continuing to explore alternative solutions to work around this issue.

Hi pjorgenunes,

@pjorgenunes

Sorry for the inconvenience caused!

Our team has confirmed that the Replay Gain option is still available in iOS v3.2.1. Please send us feedback by selecting the More tab -> Feedback, and our engineers will promptly investigate the issue with the missing Replay Gain option.

Thanks.

Other apps are adjusting the phone volume to match the app volume before going into the background. That's part of the media API.

Another part of the API is to match the volume steps.

Also when having multiple media apps the latest in the foreground shall take control (be in focus). Currently the WiiM Home App still react to the volume control where it should not.

Check the AudioManager class and the OnAudioFocusChangeListener functionality.

Which part of "Already raised a ticket to WiiM team" didn't you understand 🤦‍♂️🤣

3.2.1 is back in the Android playstore. Volume still doesn't work correctly when the app is in the background and the widget still thinks the phone speaker is active. Unbelievable 👎

Yes, mine updated this morning as well. I guess it's still a work in progress. Although the widget does seem to work okay on my tablet for most playing sources, but it doesn't work if I ask Alexa to play something as far as I can tell. Will need to test it out some more when I have more time.

Hi @slartibartfast ,

Our team is still investigating how to adjust the volume in the background when the phone's volume is set to 0 or 100.

In addition, could you also let us know your phone model? We’ll use it to help reproduce and analyze the volume adjustment issue.

The volume control issue is also discussed in other posts and are phone manufacture independent.

The general problem is that the phone volume is not synchronized with the app when the app is set in the background.

@WiiM Team Please refer to https://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/VolumeProvider and the setCurrentVolume function.

In the VolumeProvider the "VOLUME_CONTROL_ABSOLUTE" should probably be set?

I guess this issue is model independent as several members have reported similar issues on multiple models.

On my Xiaomi 13T pro, if I turn the phone volume to 100% when the Ultra volume is at 90%, the Ultra volume goes to 95%. If I then set the phone volume to 0% (mute), the Ultra volume only drops to about 90%. Also, the adjustable range of volume is different between long pressing and clicking the volume buttons.

Note that when WHA is in front ground, it can be controlled normally.

If the volume controls did actually translate directly to 0% for minimum and 100% for maximum it would probably still be an issue as it is so easy to go from 0 to 100 quickly by long pressing the controls 🤔

In case it helps, I also have the volume mismatch problem with my Samsung Galaxy S23+
