Nice release.

I'm wondering that if in a future version we can get the option to re-order the source buttons? For instance, I don't ever use Bluetooth but have to scroll past it to get to line in or USB. Not a huge deal, but would make using the app a bit quicker.
At least you can already hide the unused inputs completely.

Reordering would be nice, though.

I'm a bit surprised.

This feature has been available for quite some time now, but obviously only for devices on a 5.2.x code stream. It's even available for the Audio Pro X10 WiiM Edition. I gave my WiiM Amp to my brother, so I didn't ever check this.

We are still waiting for the beta firmware for simultaneous RC and EQ which was promised for the second week in April.
During the early times wiim had many features on roadmap but majority of them has already been released. This was the reason why roadmap hasn’t updated because there was nothing left.

It’s not like everything on the roadmap has been fully implemented. Some things got worse over time, some feel very beta. The roadmap gave me confidence that issues would be resolved in a timely manner. Now everything feels like whenever. The app is getting more convoluted instead of more user friendly. Why are there multiple places to check for firmware updates which pretty much always tell you that there’s no new firmware available while new firmware is announced by a pop up when it’s available?

Traditionally, checking for updates was possible in the device settings, only.

Obviously, many people own more than one WiiM device, so they complained about having to go into the device settings of all of their 9 WiiM Pros to update each of them. WiiM reacted to their wishes by adding a firmware update check in the app settings.

Right now the update check is still there in the device settings, but all it does is to redirect you to the app settings page for multi-device update. This looks reasonable enough to me.

If you want the option in device settings to be removed for increased user friendliness you could start a feature request thread for that.

As long as the proactive popup works it should be expected that a manual check is not required (nor yields any result) almost all of the time.

The popup works, at least according to my experience, and if it does, the two other options seem pointless. I don’t particularly care about this but it feels like the app is getting more convoluted while it would make more sense, to me at least, to tidy it up a bit.

Which device?
For my Mini and Pro the update check in the device settings doesn't redirect but performs an update check for the selected device.
As both devices are registered for beta firmwares an option to list available beta for the device is also present.

Yes, as you say. Perhaps he just confused device updates with update checks 🙂.

If you initiate an update from the update notification dialog or the update icon on the device card, you will be redirected to the firmware update screen.
