App Version:
3.4.12

Beta Features

1. Sync Main Speakers & Sub: Align main speakers and subwoofer for the listening position using the phone’s microphone (requires an upcoming beta firmware update).
2. Standby Source Mode: Automatically switch to a selected input source when the device enters Standby (requires an upcoming beta firmware update).

Improvements

1. Qobuz Radio: Added support for Artist, Album, and Track Radio (requires an upcoming firmware update).
2. Room Correction: Added Variable, Psychoacoustic, and ERB smoothing options.
3. OOBE: Improved Wi-Fi setup stability.
4. Screen: Added per-input playback screen customization (requires an upcoming firmware update).

Bug Fixes

1. Plex: Fixed a bitrate downsampling issue.
2. NAS: Fixed local playlist playback failures and resolved Synology indexing issues on certain models.
3. [Android] Fixed a crash caused by oversized images.

So "Ethernet" never appears in "Recently Played" and other sources only appear once. It doesn't matter how many times you switch between sources they only appear once in the list. Totally pointless.
If you then disable an input it disappears from the recently played list even though it was recently played. In the words of Victor Meldrew "I don't believe it" 😂
I've only tried it a little so far, but it seems to be working fine for now. 🤔🙂

Switching the input to Ethernet (Wi-Fi) should not affect Recently Played. You need to play the source. Other inputs clear the old history each time you switch, leaving only the most recent playback. Playback from Presets, My Tracks, My playlists does not appear in the history.

However, it remains unclear whether there are any benefits to having inputs other than Wi-Fi sources remain in Recently Played. There may be plans to integrate it with other new features in the future.

WiiM Home App version 3.5.0 is now available for iOS/iPadOS devices.

It’s about time for a dedicated headphone eq. However, I’d argue that it would make more sense to be able to apply different eqs to each output. I‘m mostly using an external headphone amp, sometimes wireless speakers in my bedroom and passive speakers connected to an amp on the main system. Headphones don’t need Roomfit, neither do the bedroom speakers. However I like to eq the headphones. I know that all the switching can be done via presets but I believe being able to assign Roomfit + eq to each output would be the most convenient option.

Its possible to use presets for headphone, but still no option in presets to switch eq off, you have to chose preset,
workaround is to make one eq with all zeroes and then switch to that when using headphones,
but still, option to not use eq and switch it off is more straighforward.

Fully agree - in addition some people may connect their BT headphones or USB headphones to WiiM streamers. Many of the outputs can therefore be used to connect either speakers or headphones. A few months ago I shared some ideas about all this, it would be great to give some flexibility to users to select which outputs should be handled like speaker outputs (so RoomFit is applicable), and which should be handled headphone outputs (so HP EQ is applicable).
