Wait for the firmware then 😃. I suppose you get to choose album or track gain but streaming services might not provide both.
I already have that. It updated few hours ago. Release note stated tidal. I play tidal within Wiim app and I don’t get a prompt of gain. If someone knows where to find it would be great.

If anywhere, I'd expect it to be under Account on the Tidal page in the WiiM app, alongside where you can set the streaming quality

I am on a different FW distribution list - the Ultra FW dropped today is 5.2.636231. One thing I noticed is that the streaming metadata changed. As an example, the native BBC Radio 3 app used to show 322kbps 24bit/48kHz. This new version dropped the bitrate. I also think the bit depth is 16bit and not 24bit.

mine is 5.2.636045, with BBC Radio says 24/48 with no bitrate, none of the BBC stations play using Vtuner.

What’s the difference between the releases note on what you have vs the official?

Chromecast implementation.
Mine is 5.2.636231 too, but I didn't see any Chromecast info when reading it before clicking upgrade. I'm also on another list because of Chromecast issues reported previously.

@adias If you encounter your issues again, let us know.

Radio streams no longer show the bitrate. Maybe this is in response to me badgering them so much about picking the 96kbps BBC streams and not the 320kbps ones! Ignorance is bliss perhaps!

Or are these streams different now? Would really like to understand what's changed.

It's a different form of firmware releases, as stated by @adias before.

Those suffering from problems regarding the newer Google Cast 4 Music 2.0 implementation can request to be "downgraded" (or is ist upgraded? ;) ) to the previous Chromecast version by sending feedback to WiiM. However, this requires a fully different firmware release.

Hmm, why wouldn't everyone prefer the previous Chromecast version?
