A couple of recommendations:

1 -Whenever a new FW is installed I find useful to power cycle the unit. It will reset RAM values.

2 - The Ultra power cord is not keyed. It can be inserted 2-ways and thus can assign phase and neutral differently, depending on how the power plug is inserted. Pick the insertion that minimizes the voltage (in mV) between the neutral and the case ground (the outer contact of an RCA connector in the rear). This should eliminate ground loops and power line insertion noise.

I suppose it’s the version for those whitelisted to stay with Chromecast 1.x.
The problem we had in the past is solved, and for sure we are still whitelisted. However, we also got some update for Chromecast. But I don't know what version we have. I'm just using Wiim Ultra with YouTube Music on my PC. I don't even know how to check Chromecast version

I have there only Home app version: 3.27.1.6

No place / option to check Cast firmware version

choose the cog/settings icon

I have 3 dots there -> and options to select: "opinions" and "help".

When enter "help", again 3 dots are available and "information about version".

I see there Google Home version, instead of Cast version.

I told you, in my app I don't have anywhere info about Cast FW version. It looks different from yours, I don't know why

I will remove the app and install it again later.

First, I would have needed to add the device to the room.

You don't click on the three dots. There should be a cog wheel next to the three dots.

Settings in the menu at the bottom of the home screen >
Devices, Groups, Rooms >
Select (tap) a room >
Select a device>
Uncheck the device you want to remove.
Thanks. I removed it from the room and still see the device info

Presumably, a WiiM that does not belong to a house or room will show up as a "local device" and will not have gears. Devices that once in a room are still in the house, even if they leave the room, and therefore have gears 🙂.

Doesn't everything appear in the house?
