I had it until I performed a new "Synch Audio".Anyone else having massive lip sync issues when watching TV (using hdmi arc) after this latest firmware? Ticket raised because I can't watch TV like this, it's horrible!
I noticed lip sync issues with TV sound via optical input, so perhaps it is related.Anyone else having massive lip sync issues when watching TV (using hdmi arc) after this latest firmware? Ticket raised because I can't watch TV like this, it's horrible!
I had the idea that there was some versions variations and it was to show the version I got. But maybe I had a wrong ideaCan we have everyone getting the update reporting it![]()
Afaik sync audio is for syncing when using different speakers (in different room setups), not for TV? Because no matter how I change the manual sync, it doesn't change anything for the lip sync problem.I had it until I performed a new "Synch Audio".
Ok. It did for me. Changed the timing with about +25ms. The sync via HDMI is fine now. Tv is always set to PCM here. I'll see if I can change anything on the TV...Ok. It did for me. Changed the timing with about +25ms. The sync via HDMI is fine now. Was really bad before.
The sync measures how long time the processing of the signal is before coming out of the speakers.
Maybe you can control the picture delay on the TV to match this?
Or if TV out is not set to PCM, try that.
With or without running the "synch audio"?Ok, having watched different shows/programs on different stations now, things seem back to normal. Very weird...

I just had a similar issue. After switching the output from DLNA back to line out, no sound from my speakers. Fortunately, a reboot fixed my issue.Recently updated to 5.2.714249 with build date 20250418. After playing music without issue from early am today, mid morning suddenly no sound output over coax to my DAC. Checked everything and the WiiM is ‘playing music’ but no sound from my speakers. Was short of time so tried reboot, remove power then wait and power back on. Again, looks lie music playing but no sound either streaming or via my has attached to usb. I’m guessing a factory reset?
Unfortunately, but I have decided to do so too...Yes. Unfortunately the persistent groups has never worked as expected. I don't use them any more.

If TV out is set to PCM, I see LPCM on the Ultra. many issues lately, sometimes lipsync, but mainly audio dropouts. Wiim support said it was better to use AC3, and used TV DD out for a long time without issue. might be the google streamer since I just heard an audio dropout streaming Netflix with TV set to PCM.
I can well do without "smarter HDMI ARC" if it results in lip sync issues, 75% of what I use my Ultra for is watching TV either streaming from Prime, Netflix, Disney + and Plex. For that it's the best thing I've purchased, I'll keep reading this post till Wiim have cleared up all the problems that preople seem to be getting then I will think about upgrading the firmware. Thanks to all you folks who are posting your concerns on this forum, much appreciated.
