1. Smarter VU Meter – More accurate readout of your output levels.
2. Amazon Music – Faster resume after long pauses and improved casting stability from the Amazon Music app.

Bug Fixes:

1. Dolby Audio – Eliminated playback noise and fixed subwoofer no-sound cases.
2. USB Library – Refined image resizing for crisper album art.
3. Pandora – Resolved track skipping after resume and login failures.
4. Alarms – Station-based alarms now trigger reliably.
5. TuneIn – Apple Music radio via TuneIn now resumes after long pauses; reduced radio playback failures.
6. LMS – Correct bitrate display for radio streams.
7. KKBOX – Fixed playback interruptions and corrected bitrate reporting.
8. General – Stability, performance, and other minor fixes.

Hi, I have a disconnection problem between Ultra and my ADI 2 RME dac, I also tried the beta versions but I can't solve it, only for about 15 days this disconnection has been presented that can also be seen from the ultra screen! Grazie Giacomino !

@WiiM Team please please please give us a 3rd "Large Cover" playback screen option with plain black sides. And an option to set the playback screen style on a per input basis would be much appreciated as well! For example allowing it to always show the VU meter for phono/line input, but show static info for streaming, HDMI etc.

I've requested this numerous times before (through the app and on the forum), but we need the option for a plain black background in the full-screen artwork playback view.

Another improvement would be a way to choose which visualisation you see on a per input basis. For example: when streaming always show artwork. When listening to one of the analog/digital inputs: always show VU meter. When listening through HDMI ARC: show the static icon for the least amount of distraction.

And could you please do something about the...

I would take either option right now as it is a lot of clicks to change it every time.

A look at the music library: How much DAC intersample overhead is enough? True Peak analysis of genres in an eclectic digital collection.

A blog for audiophiles about more objective topics. Measurements of audio gear. Reasonable, realistic, no snakeoil assessment of sound, and equipment.

The -3dB -4dB default setting, as some do, is a wise precaution... but forget about bitperfect, etc., and it allows for even more precise measurements of the precautions to be taken with positive-gain PEQs, etc.

(I'm hardly concerned because I mainly listen to "auto-leveled" radio stations or acoustic music on these streamers ;-) )


We need to see how this is handled by streaming providers...the key point...

And that is a good idea. There are still many outstanding issues and things that can be improved.

Later WiiM may add new features again. I believe they will do

That's true, and you see how often ironic I was and still be about the Ultra's VU thing.

Currently I'm also using a Pro+ with highest satisfaction, hence still cannot leave off from my mind that the VU thing is just a bad use of system resources.

It's nice to see a captivating dancing needle, not so nice to see it falling off the scale when idle.
Have to say, it depresses me a lot therefore I chose not use VU visualization.

Looks like it, but there's still a few things on the roadmap, including Plex.
