Would that imply you want to use the vibelink with a tv optical output to vibelink optical input?
I've not actually tried that, but if it's anything like any other wiim I've used that way (pro, ultra, amp pro) then I had absolutely no latency / lip sync issues.
If not, perhaps explain why low latency is so important to you!

Thank you! As a matter of fact, I draw my optical output from a hdmi 2.1 audio extractor box, since it gives much lower latency than from the TV. For some of us that games on 120hz, audio latency is real issue. Each frame is shown every 8.8ms. The Xbox audio fifo buffer is 5ms. The hdmi 2.1 audio extractor add an additional 5.5ms on top of that. This means that we are already over budget, so the amp should add as little as possible.

I have the Ultra. I guess I’m just confused on how to set this all up. My CD, turntable, sub, speakers, and Ultra using the Vibelink while having volume control and using the dac in the Vibelink. For some reason I’m having trouble understanding how to properly set up my system if I get the Vibelink.

I have my turntable, hdmi and sub plugged into my ultra. Ultra is optical out into vibelink. I have the volume turned all the way up on my vibelink and have my speakers plugged into the vibelink. Volume is controlled on the ultra

Connect CD, TT and sub to Ultra. Connect Ultra to Vibelink via optical and 12v trigger. Connect passiv speakers to Vibelink. Set Vibelink to optical input and its volume control to the max you will ever play. And then control all from the Ultra via Remote, App and device.

That leaves the possibility of accidentally setting your Ultra volume to 100% and blowing your speakers. At least the other way, you’d deliberately need to turn the vibelink’s volume up manually to do that.

Here’s the hint in your scenario: forget about using the volume dial on the VibeLink for anything besides level-setting your speakers against your sub. Active volume control should be done at the WiiM Ultra.

Yeah, as I’ve said before I see the vibelink pretty much as a set-it-and-forget-it device.

Wiim customers are turning into a tough market to please! Seems some are irritated that the Vibelink has a volume knob and digital inputs while on the other side they are annoyed that it doesn't have a sub out, ADC, autosensing inputs and so on.
