Your respons is giving me an itch. ;)

You have a set of big Paradigm 6000's and still use a sub.
I thought a Sub wouldn't add much because I like the bass of my Paradigm's already (Monitor 9v7).

I might also need a sub.
The Paradigms are very nice and full by themselves, but the sub just adds that extra bottom. I have the WiiM crossover at 80 hz, so it takes that bottom load off the Paradigm’s woofers. The difference with and without the sub is very noticeable.

I asked this question in post #3 of this thread. 'Will we be able to run two of these as a stereo pair?". The answer from @RyanWithWiiM was as follows.
Not at launch, but I'll let the team know you're interested!

WiiM Team corrected Ryan's answer here 🙂 (Now remembered..)

However, whether stereo playback is possible with 2 Subs is still unanswered.

Amazon.com page is live:

Also on Amazon Uk but “currently unavailable” which is to be expected I guess.

K&B Audio in the UK are listing it with a price of £429.00.

Although the price ($450 US on Amazon) is attractive, a 8" sub is pretty small for a large room. Maybe OK for music, but might be too small for movies. A SVS SB-1000 has a 12" driver for $600. It will be interesting to compare.

Amazon is advertising Aug 7 - Aug 12 delivery.

Anyone know if 250 Watts is RMS? I assume so but cannot find it listed as that.

Wiim confirmed in another thread that it is 250 watts RMS.

The sub pro feels like something that would be great to go with the WiiM Amp range, or those new standalone speakers WiiM is making (I forget what they are called), are we going to see a WiiM package deal in the future? it's exciting!

Order placed!! :)

Will the app help guide me on placement of the sub?
Being wireless I should have freedom to move the sub anywhere in the room but could use some guidance to get started.

We hope you love it! The app doesn't have recommendations on where to place the device currently, but I'll suggest that to the team. Generally speaking, here are some tips about subwoofer placement:

Avoid corners and walls: Corners amplify bass but often make it boomy or muddy. Keep the sub at least 12–18 inches away from walls if possible.
Don’t hide it: Placing a sub inside a cabinet or behind furniture muffles sound and causes distortion.
Calibration can fight many sins: Use WiiM's built in RoomFit auto-calibration to dial in the settings and make up for issues in placement, and even make corners and walls a good choice!

EDIT: Adding this WiiM FAQ on sub placement and settings.

12 - 18 inch 🫨
You mean 30 - 45 cm 🤓
Hey, I'm of a certain age & feet, inches (& the fractions), yards, miles, (proper) gallons, (proper) pints, pounds, ounces, stone, farenheit etc are all OK by me even if our youngsters only understand miles, (proper) gallons and pints.

Heck, even furlongs, acres, bushels, guineas, shillings, old pence, halfpennies, farthings still make sense to some of us (...not quite old enough for groat though).

The rest of the world don't understand any of this ;)
