Sub Pro Volume Level Question

I've had the sub for a while but I can't say I've ever been able to crank it to where I can say I hear the sub. It's on and I can feel a little speaker deflection, but not as loud as I would think it could be even at +10 in the settings. I try turning the sub option off and on and I don't really hear any difference in the overall sound.
I do have full range speakers in the setup.

Also, I tried to experiment today and wanted to move the sub and make it wireless. The white light would turn on for a couple of moments and go out. I never could get the Amp Ultra to see the Sub wirelessly. Probably something I didn't do right.
I reconnected the Sub with a cable and it returned to normal operation. I did see at the very bottom of the screen an option to unpair, which I had not seen when trying to do wireless and didn't do before I tried switching from wired to wireless.

I have no experience with wireless subs or the Sub Pro, maybe some other folks can be of more help there. I’m surprised you don’t hear any difference when you disable the sub. You don’t want it to smack you in the face, but you should hear some difference. First, check your sub output settings and make sure both Subwoofer Bypass Mode and Main Speaker Output Bass are off. Those ensure that everything below your crossover point only goes to the sub, and everything above goes to the mains. The only other thing I can think to suggest is to play with the pre-gain settings (under the Audio Input), and see if lowering it 1 db at a time makes the sub more prominent.

What audio source did you use to check?

Many streaming services offer audio files containing only bass frequencies, so please play these again to verify.

You can also play this sweep track to check whether the subwoofer and speaker volumes are matched.

Additionally, what response do you get when you run RoomFit?

I can't answer anything as don't have a Sub Pro, I recommend submitting a ticket via the WiiM app's feedback section.
(Other > Feedback)

Device logs will be sent, which will assist in resolving the issue.

I'm struggling today to find these toggles. Pretty sure I've seen them before but can't locate today.

I just use music audio and streaming TV audio. I'll try the audio you recommend.
I can hear the sub (I think it's the sub) when I do sub room fit. Does sub room fit only send signal to the sub, or is it to all speakers?
Not sure if these Room Fit files look good or not, but it's what I have.
Music and TV sound decent, but it's also a huge room with 18' ceilings.

You won’t be able to see them if your Sub Pro is paired to your WiiM device. You need to unpair your Sub Pro from your Amp Ultra using the Unpair option in the WiiM Sub Pro settings within the WiiM Home App.

If you hear a sweeping sound from low to high frequencies, sound is being produced from both the subwoofer and the speakers. What crossover value did you set on the subwoofer screen?

Sounds below the crossover frequency are output from the subwoofer, while sounds above it are output from the speakers.

Is it not on the subwoofer settings screen?

Could you please tap 'Evaluate' on the RoomFit profile edit screen and post your measurement results here?

Thank you for that information, I'll do that. It was driving me crazy since I remember seeing those screens in the past but couldn't find them anywhere today.

The crossover is set to 75 currently.
I was inquiring about the subwoofer RoomFit. It seems to only put out low frequency which I hear, but I don't know if it is sub only or includes main speakers. I hear the whole sweep if I use RoomFit from the Amp.
I'll do an evaluate shortly.
Thanks.

When the sub plays the "sound" in preparation for evaluating RoomFit, there is plenty of base, so it must be in some of my settings that cause my perception of lacking base.
Currently the gain is +6 dB.

Thank you.

Where is the Sub pro positioned in your room? Placing the sub near the corner wall might enhance the bass.

Also, as there is a dip around 80Hz, it may be worth trying the following if possible.

Change the crossover to 100Hz (however, in this case, you may need to place the Sub pro in the centre of the speakers).

After turning the Sub volume up more, run RoomFit again.

You can also try the Harman curve in RoomFit.

The sub is positioned to the right of the right speaker. I had it on the left outside previously. Can't place it between the speakers. I wanted to move it to a corner but wasn't able to connect wirelessly. I may try that again later.
I'll change crossover and re run RoomFit. Does it make a difference running only sub or full RoomFit?
How do my curves look in general? I have no experience interpreting them other than what sounds good to me.

The speaker response is excellent and flat above 150Hz, but there is a roll-off from 90Hz down to the crossover point (75Hz). I think increasing the sub volume and raising the crossover value could eliminate this dip. However, first try performing a full RoomFit Evaluation with the sub in its current position, using the following settings:

Crossover: 80Hz, 85Hz
Sub Volume: Current value +5dB

Then, please compare the sound across each setting.🙂

Turned the sub gain up to 11dB. That made a difference. I can tell it's there now. (I know, it should be transparent)
First is crossover at 80, second is 85. Both at 11dB.
Does the dip at 50 mean anything? I didn't notice it on previous graphs.

Does it sound good?

If you feel the bass is too strong, I suggest running RoomFit with just the subwoofer to flatten its response. An 80Hz crossover should be fine.

Did you run Roomfit after increasing the gain?

What's the better approach to RoomFit correction—should I apply it to the entire setup, or start by correcting just the subwoofer?
