Sub Pro + WiiM mini - full bass management?? 🤔

I wonder if you only get the short version if the Sub Pro is paired with the Ultra? What happens if you unpair it but just physically connect it to the Ultra and use the Ultra’s sub settings? Maybe we need advice from WiiM as when to pair or not pair?

You could be onto something there, I have just unpaired my Sub Pro, and I now have access to the other three options in the Ultra Sub Out settings, and also have the following WiiM Sub Pro device "Tile".

The Settings options available here are the same as in my post #19, but without "Move Sub", and "Unpair Sub from Ultra"

Yeah, I get that tile as I have my sub connected to my Linn Amp and wouldn’t expect to see anything under my Ultra settings where I have switched the sub setting off. TBH, I’d like the “pair now” highlight off too as it’s not sensible if the sub pro is attached to non-WiiM gear.

I can see you might not need the sub/speakers setting if they were paired/linked but I’d need to think about the other settings…

Also, in that unpaired but wired setup, do the settings sync between the units? I’d imagine not…

I have now paired it again to my Ultra, which tidies the device tiles up.

Perhaps the missing options will be enabled in the paired device settings in a future WiiM Sub Pro, or WiiM Home app update.

interesting discussion lads. thanks for sharing all the screenshots etc... hopefully we'll see some more development in this area soon.

for now though, i've decided to go with a different sub to pair with my mini.
:)
