I share your pain. We have the same increased pricing here in Australia.

Best price I've seen so far is AUD$899 (including 10% GST):

Worth keeping in mind the price of the vibelink ended up being about $100 AU cheaper on release than the pre-release/pre-order price. Though I'm pretty sure that was pre-tariff shenanigans.

Hi all! The Amp Ultra is available for orders on Amazon UK and EU now! The Sub Pro is also available for orders on Amazon EU (UK is still pending).

Still showing as out of stock on Amazon uk - any idea of delivery dates?

Unfortunately, the only thing missing is a headphone jack, which would make me happy. But without it, the device is useless for me. I listen a lot with my headphones.

Something's still missing. What do I do with my record player and my CD player? It only has one input. I suspect that's what's holding many people back from buying one. It needs a headphone jack and at least two analog inputs.

Does your CD Player have an optical output which you could connect to the optical in on the Amp Ultra.
You could connect headphones to the USB port with a suitable adaptor, or headphone amplifier.

Thank you for your answers. But unfortunately, that's not for me. My CD player doesn't have an optical output. My turntable doesn't have a phono preamplifier. And I don't want another device (amplifier) for the headphones. It only costs space and a lot of money. There will be even more clutter than now. I believe that an all-in-one device should have everything included. I prefer to stick with a classic amplifier that has all the connections. Maybe the next generation of WiiM will have everything I want. But I seriously doubt that.

How would that work? The connection is on the back of the device. So I would have to access it every time. How is that controlled then? If I listen with headphones, are the speakers automatically turned off? I think that is way too complicated. How is the sound? Are the EQ settings retained? All things that are probably not helpful. But thank you for your idea.

If you have, for example, a usb dac / headphone amp connected via usb to the wiim then when you turn that dac on the wiim will auto switch to usb output (and hence no longer speaker output for the amps) and when you turn it off it'll switch back.
How's the sound? Probably depends on the dac / headphone amp / headphones, but mine is superb this way from an ultra, amp pro and amp ultra.
eq is retained by default, but it's also pretty easy to have a smart preset which sets things up for headphone listening and another for speakers.
Yes, the inputs / outputs are more limited on the wiim amps than some other products, so of course if they don't meet your needs then by all means look at something else that is better suited.

An USB cable and/or USB hub would solve that.

Yes.

Depends on your setup but generally very good.
Are the EQ settings retained?
Yes.

Can’t possibly include everything for everybody. If a WiiM unit doesn’t have everything you need, then you obviously need something else. These amps provide everything that a lot of users are looking for (like me). If you want every possible combination of inputs and outputs, plenty of other brands already make boxes for that. But you’re not going to get the same sound quality and streaming features with all that other stuff at this price point.

I'm 10 days into my new Amp Ultra and loving it. I bought mine from Peter Tyson's. If you're like me who these days only listens to internet radio, Spotify, or mostly my library of 30000+ tracks on a NAS, then I think it's perfect. My CD collection is now up in the loft, having realised a few weeks ago that I've not actually played a CD this year. Nothing too fancy on the speaker front (Dali Oberon 1 bookshelves) but perfectly acceptable to me. The app is a breeze to use too.
