We've reached a rather incredible situation where the equipment won't listen to itself... won't listen to itself "in conditions," etc., and it will buy you the reading of a few measurements, expert comments on YouTube, etc. It's fantastic...
and as long as it's Chinese, of the few brands that have understood these new rules of the game... ""there are no objective differences anyway, thanks to a few studies in the "general population."""

The Wiim amp Ultra hasn't been released or marketed yet, right?

We're living in a wonderful time... no more need for critical thinking...

Do you mean the WiiM Amp Ultra? It’s been on sale since yesterday on Amazon USA, plus it’d say with its announcement at the Munich High End Show, marketing has already begun too…

No, “in stock” and “on sale” since yesterday with delivery within a week on Amazon USA. So released and available.

It's just that this machine isn't available yet, with some already trying to get excited about it, even recommending it, etc.

(And ps, perhaps it's prudent, from experience, to let the first batches go by ;-) ... perhaps...)

But it is available …. just not actually in the hands of the public yet. But based on WiiM’s track record, I think the excitement is well justified.

Is it 230v 50hz compatible if bought in US? I ordered because 2 left, just hope it is, no info on voltage on Amazon or Wiim site that I can see, can send back if not...

Just note that it is a C7 2 pronged plug. That is for the Ultra not the Amp.

Do we know why it uses the C5 when the other amps and the Ultra use a C7?
The simple (but not very exhaustive) answer would be, because it has its similarities with the Vibelink Amp. :)

At least in Europe there seems to be a current limit for Class II devices. There might be additional restrictions world wide, but I don't know for sure.
